Ellen Page Returns as Kitty Pryde in "X-Men: Days of Future Past"

Director Bryan Singer, working on "X-Men: Days of Future Past" has revealed that Ellen Page was returning as Kitty Pryde in the "X-Men" franchise per his Twitter (see the picture he posted above).

Because the storyline involves time-travelling, all the "X-Men" characters, both old and new, will meet to help tell the story. That means Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart will share screentime with their current counterparts Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Jennifer Lawrence.

Page played Kitty Pryde in "X-Men: The Last Stand." "Days of Future Past" marks her first collaboration with Singer.

Sorry "Star Trek," J.J. Abrams Will Be Busy with "Star Wars"

Call it the battle of two "Stars!" We could have predicted this, but the future of "Star Trek" may be put on hold because director/visionary/reboot creator J.J. Abrams will be busy rebooting "Star Wars" for Disney, specifically "Star Wars: Episode VII."

According to New York Times reporter, David Itzkoff," Abrams was noncommittal about directing a third "Star Trek" except to say that Bad Robot would produce it.

Okay here's the scenario -- Disney hasn't planned a release date for "Star Wars" except it is earmarked for 2015. Paramount, the home of "Star Trek," still has not made a threequel announcement, but we all know it will be coming.

But have no fear Abrams fans, the director has not made it official yet that he will be leaving the "Star Trek" universe. There's still hope! But of course, it all begins with a good story! So paging the screenwriters of the first two "Star Trek" -- Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof -- write a threequel script ASAP!

"Iron Man 3" Rules the World!

"Iron Man 3" takes the world hostage over the weekend with a staggering box-office performance. In the U.S. alone, the third film in the "Iron Man" saga opened with $175.9 million making it the second biggest U.S. debut of a film ever! And that is next to Marvel's "The Avengers" with $200.30 opening same time last year.

Here's a nifty graphic of all-time U.S. opening, thanks to our friends at Huffpost.

Overseas, "Iron Man 3" starring Robert Downey Jr. from director Shane Black made half-billion dollars in less than two weeks for a worldwide total of $680.1 million.

With a box-office performance like that, it's hard for Disney and Marvel not to shower Downey Jr. with more money just so he'll return to the franchise after making it public that he's going to hang up the iron suit.

Here's the estimated Top 10 Box-Office films for weekend of May 3rd:

1. "Iron Man 3," $175.3 million ($175.9 million international).
2. "Pain & Gain," $7.6 million.
3. "42," $6.2 million.
4. "Oblivion," $5.8 million ($6.5 million international).
5. "The Croods," $4.2 million ($17.4 million international).
6. "The Big Wedding," $3.9 million ($2.5 million international).
7. "Mud," $2.2 million.
8. "Oz the Great and Powerful," $1.8 million.
9. "Scary Movie 5," $1.4 million ($4 million international).
10. "The Place Beyond the Pines," $1.3 million.

“Iron Man 3” Movie Review -- How Many Kisses Does Robert Downey Jr. Get?

It’s finally here, the third installment of the popular “Iron Man” franchise. Robert Downey Jr. returns as Tony Stark/Iron Man and this time, he has to duke it out with the mysterious Mandarin (Ben Kingsley). But wait, there’s also Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce), the scruffy nerd who has questionable motivations. If you think I’m giving it all away, have no fear. “Iron Man 3” has a lot of unpredictable twists and turns.

Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts) and Don Cheadle (James Rhodey Rhodes/War Machine) also return, as well as Jon Favreau who comes back as Happy Hogan but not as a director. Shane Black takes the director’s chair for his first “Iron Man” movie. But is it worth the wait? Take a look:
