"Jurassic Park 4" Delayed!

If you're a fan of "Jurassic Park" and couldn't wait for part 4 to come out on June 13, 2014, you're out of luck! Universal has announced that for now, they're closing the gates on "Jurassic Park 4."

In a statement, Universal said, "In coordination with filmmakers, Universal has decided to release 'Jurassic Park 4' at a later date giving the studio and filmmakers adequate time to bring audiences the best possible version of the fourth installment in Universal’s beloved franchise."

"We could not be more excited about the vision that Colin Trevorrow has created for this film, and we look forward to watching as he and the producers create another great chapter in this franchise's storied history," Universal continued.

Uh-oh...what went wrong? Many rumors abound, of course. Ain't It Cool News said that "Jurassic Park" concept artist Dean Sherriff tweeted that the film was put "on hold."

So apparently, "Jurassic Park 4" or "Jurassic Park IV" (take a pick!) is just on a temporary hiatus while Universal restructures "the guard" because the studio was not happy how the four-quel is being developed.

Trevorrow was hired to direct back in March, but will he stay? Or is he the guard being restructured? Stay tuned...

Ellen Page Returns as Kitty Pryde in "X-Men: Days of Future Past"

Director Bryan Singer, working on "X-Men: Days of Future Past" has revealed that Ellen Page was returning as Kitty Pryde in the "X-Men" franchise per his Twitter (see the picture he posted above).

Because the storyline involves time-travelling, all the "X-Men" characters, both old and new, will meet to help tell the story. That means Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart will share screentime with their current counterparts Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Jennifer Lawrence.

Page played Kitty Pryde in "X-Men: The Last Stand." "Days of Future Past" marks her first collaboration with Singer.

Sorry "Star Trek," J.J. Abrams Will Be Busy with "Star Wars"

Call it the battle of two "Stars!" We could have predicted this, but the future of "Star Trek" may be put on hold because director/visionary/reboot creator J.J. Abrams will be busy rebooting "Star Wars" for Disney, specifically "Star Wars: Episode VII."

According to New York Times reporter, David Itzkoff," Abrams was noncommittal about directing a third "Star Trek" except to say that Bad Robot would produce it.

Okay here's the scenario -- Disney hasn't planned a release date for "Star Wars" except it is earmarked for 2015. Paramount, the home of "Star Trek," still has not made a threequel announcement, but we all know it will be coming.

But have no fear Abrams fans, the director has not made it official yet that he will be leaving the "Star Trek" universe. There's still hope! But of course, it all begins with a good story! So paging the screenwriters of the first two "Star Trek" -- Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof -- write a threequel script ASAP!
