What I Think of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "Blended!"

Two big movies just in time for Memorial Day Weekend – First, we have the sequel “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” The old and the new converge in this time travel epic tale featuring our favorite mutants. Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellen, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Nicholas Hoult, and Peter Dinklage star in the film directed by Bryan Singer.

In “Blended,” Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler return to the big screen and we all know what that means – it’s time for Sandler to show his softer side. The two has palpable chemistry and it shows on-screen and off. “Blended” is about two single parents who meet unsuccessfully during a blind date only to see each other again in an African resort made for families, blended or otherwise.

So which one is my pick of the week? Take a look:

My Fun Interview with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore for “BLENDED” -- I Love Them!

I love, love, love Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. The two have excellent on-screen (witness “The Wedding Singer” and “50 First Dates”) and off-screen chemistry. And I’m glad to report that the two showcased their palpable chemistry in the super-funny “Blended.” Truth be told, I haven’t enjoyed an Adam Sandler movie in a long, long time until “Blended” came along!

In the movie, the two star as single parents who, after a disastrous blind date, find themselves together in an African resort. You probably can predict what happens next but the journey to the heartwarming ending is as beautiful as the African setting!

In this fun interview, we talked about:

*** How the two of them reunited
*** The movie is really a domestic drama masquerading as a funny comedy
*** Their interests in their characters
*** The cast including the young child actors who play their kids – one of them (Alyvia Alyn Lind) reminded me of Gertie aka Barrymore in “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial”
*** The African setting of the movie
*** And more importantly, Aunt Bobby, Sandler’s aunt who lives in Palm Desert, loves me! And the actor made sure he told me that…awwwwwwww

Watch “Blended” on May 23rd, and you will have a great time!

“BLENDED” Interview with Bella Thorne

It’s fun to finally meet Bella Thorne, the Disney Channel star (“Shake It Up”) and the voice behind the pop hit “TTLXOX.” Since 2013, Thorne has been concentrating on making movies like the new family comedy “Blended” starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. She stars as Sandler’s daughter, Hilary aka Larry, the tomboyish young lady who blossoms because of love.

In this interview, we talked about her interest in making “Blended,” working with Sandler and Barrymore, and her catchy dance single “Call It Whatever” (now out on iTunes) from the album of the same name set to drop on June 24. Have fun!

“BLENDED” Interview with Wendi McLendon-Covey

I L-word Wendi McLendon-Covey. In “Blended,” the funny actress uses “L-word” as a reference for love. She stars as Jen, Drew Barrymore’s confidante and fellow “Closet Queen.” As always, McLendon-Covey gives a funny performance complete with well-coordinated outfits! I first met her for Tyler Perry’s “The Single Moms Club” and let me tell ya, it’s always a joy talking to Miss Wendi!

In this interview, we talked about her interest in making “Blended,” the heart of the film which is about family, the funny Terry Crews, and if she is going to adopt me! HA! Have fun!
