Under the light of a full moon, the 2008 Annual Maui Film Festival at Wailea came to a successful close. Now in its ninth year, the event held from June 11-15, 2008 continues to grow, proving that big things can come from a little island.
More than 20,000 people attended this year’s Maui Film Festival at Wailea and voted on their favorite films. The scenic views of Maui served as a backdrop to some of the best American independent films and world cinema. The Festival also featured cultural events, tributes and filmmakers panels.

I'm very excited to see this sequel to "Batman Begins." Director Chris Nolan and company did such an amazing job last time, and now, with the advent of Heath Ledger's passing, "The Dark Knight" is becoming the much-hyped, much-talked-about summer movie!
