AS IF WE NEED ANOTHER "HOSTEL"

Eli Roth will not write or direct "Hostel 3." Thank heavens! The first "Hostel" was good, albeit brutal and violent, and the second, just didn't go anywhere!

Now, I heard that producers are moving forward to making the three-quel, without the original director.

Incidentally, Roth's Thanksgiving Trailer was one of the highlights of Quentin Tarantion/Robert Rodriguez "Grindhouse."

So Roth, more power to you, and forget the crappy "Hostel" three-quel!

SIMON COWELL'S FILM GETS "ONE CHANCE" AT PARAMOUNT

Simon Cowell, the judge, the record producer, the show promoter, now can add one more title to his belt -- movie producer.

His movie about a rags-to-riches reality star is moving ahead at Paramount!

I just hope this doesn't turn out to be Mariah Carey's "Glitter."

"GET SMART" OUTSMARTS "THE LOVE GURU" AT THE BOX-OFFICE!!!

It was a big comedy weekend at the box-office with the release of "Get Smart" and "The Love Guru." My pick of the week was "Get Smart" because "The Love Guru's" childish humor sinks Mike Myers' purpose of finding comedy through spiritual enlightenment.

So the result, "Get Smart" opened at No. 4, right under "The Incredible Hulk" (No. 2), and "Kung Fu Panda" (No. 3).

The weekend's No. 1 film? "Get Smart" with $38.7 million box-office take.

"MAMMA MIA" HERE I COME!!!

I'm so excited, like a Pointer Sister, and I just can't hide it!

I'm flying tomorrow morning to New York City to watch the film adaptation of "Mamma Mia" and to meet the actress who made me appreciate films -- Meryl Streep!

I'm in cahoots with simplystreep.com to ask fans their absolute "Mamma Mia" question to the greatest living American actress!

I have enough questions, now I can't wait to see the film, to fully appreciate my "Mamma Mia" weekend!

And it doesn't hurt that I love ABBA as well :happy

I'll keep you posted!
