Robert Rodriguez Wants "The Jetsons"

That Robert Rodriguez is one busy dude! Not only is he rebooting the "Predator," he's also moving forward with a "Sin City" sequel. But wait there's more! Rodriguez also wants to work on a "Grindhouse" spin-off called "Machete" and the sci-fi thriller "Nerverackers."

But Rodriguez also wants to reawaken "Barbarella," and now, he wants to launch a live-action adaptation of "The Jetsons."

Rodriguez told MTV news, "I’ve been developing [The Jetsons] for awhile,” and he's "hoping to start shooting “next year.”

Adam F. Goldberg, the guy who gave us "Fanboys," wrote an early version of the script that has since been reworked.

So who should play George Jetson, his boy Elroy, daughter Judy, and Jane his wife? But most importantly, who should play Rosie, the robot housekeeper?

"Hangover" Says Cheers! Comedy Pulls Down "Up" from No. 1 Spot! Final Box-Office Tally Reveals

Yesterday, studios estimated that "Up" was the weekend winner with $44.2 million during its second week. But hold on, final tally reveals "The Hangover" edges the Disney-Pixar animated flick from the No. 1 spot with a $45 million weekend!

(Click here for the weekend box-office estimates)

But the sad story of the box-office weekend? "Land of the Lost" which was estimated to have sold $19.5 million in box-office tickets actually had a final tally of selling only $18.8 million. It has been downgraded!

Sorry Will Ferrell. :sad

My Fun One-on-One Interviews with "Away We Go" Folks! John Krasinski, Maya Rudolph, and Director Sam Mendes Reveal Secrets About the Film!

I have nothing but great admiration for the cast and crew of "Away We Go." Director Sam Mendes crafted a sweet, simple film about parenting, nesting, and the family unit. The film is in limited release right now, but for theaters and showtimes for "Away We Go" click here, and here to visit the film's official website.

In this interview, John Krasinski (Burt Farlander) and I talked about:

Outfits, yeah!
His great chemistry with Maya Rudolph (Verona De Tessant)
Why he chose to work on the film
The actor with the most open face hides behind a beard
What he learned as a director from Sam Mendes
Where is home? And why it may be New York?

Click here if the video does not play.

In this interview, Maya Rudolph (Verona De Tessant) and I talked about:

Working with John Krasinski (Burt Farlander)
Why she chose the role
Having a baby
Where is home?
Her mom, Minnie Ripperton who sang "Loving You"

In this interview, Director Sam Mendes and I talked about:

Chemistry between Maya Rudolph and John Krasinski
Why follow-up "Revolutionary Road" with "Away We Go"
Working with all these great actors
Script by Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida
Using music for "Away We Go"
Where is home?

This is an outtake of my interview with Maya Rudolph for "Away We Go." It's funny! She was talking about Manny Ramirez and steroids in reference to my name. So I said, "Do I look like I'm taking steroids?" Everyone laughed :)

HAVE FUN! :happy

"Up" Scores, "The Hangover" Surprises, "Land of the Lost" Flops!

Disney-Pixar's fantastic film, "Up" continues to dominate the box-office but Warner Bros.' R-rated comedy "The Hangover" comes very, very close.

"Up" remained the No. 1 film in the U.S. with a domestic box-office take of $44.2 million. (Watch my "Up" movie review here, and my interviews with the cast and director Pete Docter right here)

Todd Phillips' "The Hangover" defied expectations (it was projected to open in the low to mid-$20s) and grossed $43.3 million debuting at No. 2 and proving once again that moviegoers love to laugh! If you haven't seen "The Hangover" yet, go watch it! It's freaking funny and one of the best comedies I've seen in recent years!

Meanwhile, Will Ferrell's new film, "Land of the Lost," fell below Universal's $30 million expectations. The comedy adventure grossed $19.5 million from 3,521 theaters, a far, far, distant third from the top 2 films. Wait, didn't I just say moviegoers love to laugh? Perhaps, moviegoers love to laugh watching a good movie! (watch my "Land of the Lost" movie review right here)

"Up" is on its merry way to join Disney-Pixar's $200 million club. So far, the animated adventure's box-office total is $137.3 million in just 10 days! It only dropped 35% from last weekend.

Focus Features' little gem, Sam Mendes' "Away We Go" starring John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph, grossed a per theater average of $35,815 in just four locations! Not bad for a very limited release!

Here's the list of the Top 10 Box-Office films for weekend of June 5th:

1. "Up," $44.2 million.

2. "The Hangover," $43.3 million.

3. "Land of the Lost," $19.5 million.

4. "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian," $14.7 million.

5. "Star Trek," $8.4 million.

6. "Terminator Salvation," $8.2 million.

7. "Drag Me to Hell," $7.3 million.

8. "Angels & Demons," $6.5 million.

9. "My Life in Ruins," $3.2 million.

10. "Dance Flick," $2 million.
