CALLING ALL ASIAN ACTORS -- SONY IS SEARCHING FOR A NEW KATO IN "THE GREEN HORNET!"
Why? Because Stephen Chow has left the building!
The film, co-written by star Seth Rogen (he'll also star as the hero Britt Reid), is scheduled to begin filming in September. Michel Gondry ("Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind") is set to direct.
"The Green Hornet" is scheduled for release on July 9, 2010.
Chow first signed on as the director of the film, but then chose to play Kato instead. Now, he's completely gone from the project.
The big question -- why?
Was he fired? Did he leave on his own terms?
Sources are saying Chow left on "amicable terms" because he had other projects that conflict with "The Green Hornet's" shooting schedule.
Should be believe this sources? My spidey-sense is saying no!

Hugh Jackman will sell Avon beauty products for his next movie!
20th Century Fox paid a high-six-figure amount based on a comedy pitch by "Hitch" writer Kevin Bisch.
The story seems tailor-fit for Jackman. He'll star as as car salesman who's been laid off and gets reluctantly recruited into becoming an Avon salesman. But the entrepreneur stars using his charm and good looks to become a top seller!
Now here's the "Full Monty" part -- in order to save his town and family from bankruptcy, he gathers all his male pals to help sell Avon products to win a regional contest.
Sounds charming, a bit mawkish, but a feel-good British-vibed movie.
But I'll buy Avon products from Jackman, won't you?

Working Title, the studio which brought us the "Bridget Jones" series has confirmed that a third installment featuring the plucky heroine is being developed.
Yes, Renee Zellweger is returning as Bridget Jones!
But keep in mind, it's still in its early stages and may not go into production until late next year. But one thing's for sure, Zellweger will reprise her role as a British publishing executive still trying to find love.
So what will happen to Hugh Grant's character, or Colin Firth's?
Variety is saying that it will likely be based on the weekly columns author Helen Fielding wrote in 2005 for British newspaper the Independent in which Bridget, now in her 40s, attempts to have a baby before it's too late.
No word yet on the writer or the director.
