Cast of Alex Finn's "Beastly"

Shooting is currently underway for "Beastly," an adaptation of Alex Finn's fantasy novel.

Peter Krause ("Six Feet Under") has joined Mary-Kate Olsen, Alex Pettyfer and Vanessa Hudgens in the film.

(For more about "Beastly" click here)

"Beastly" is a retelling of "Beauty and the Beast" and Krause will star as the father of Pettyfer who plays a cruel joke on Olsen, a classmate who's also a witch! I think that's perfect casting :happy

Get Ready for "T.J. Hooker" the Movie!

"T.J. Hooker" will get the movie makeover as an action comedy!

The hit TV show from the 80s gets its movie adaptation from producers David Foster, Ryan Heppe, and series creator Rick Husky.

Chuck Russell, the guy who gave us "The Scorpion King" and "The Mask" is negotiating to direct.

The film version will focus on the relationship between our hero, T.J., and his dad. But I don't know how the writing team of Brent Maddock and S.S. Wilson will make the characters and the plot interesting. The writing duo gave us "Wild Wild West" (I know, not a good sign) and many "Tremors" films (yeah, definitely not a good sign!).

No word yet on the cast, or whether William Shatner, the original Sgt. Thomas J. 'T.J.' Hooker, will make a cameo. What about series originals Adrian Zmed and Heather Locklear?

For now, let's take a look back at the original "T.J. Hooker" season 1 opening.

Who's Directing "Predators?"

Nimrod Antal is set to direct "Predators" for producer Robert Rodriguez.

This marks the 5th incarnation of the "Predator" franchise. The first one starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, then "Predator 2," then "Alien vs. Predator" and "Alien vs. Predator: Requiem." And then the franchise died.

Until Rodriguez resurrected the franchise and attached Antal with it.

Antal is great at establishing the mood of his films. His best one still though is the Hungarian drama "Kontroll." "Vacancy" was just okay, but I did enjoy the mood and the claustrophobic atmosphere. His upcoming film "Armored" seems like a good movie, at least based on the trailer.

"The Green Hornet" Gets New Release Date!

Sony has switched up its 2010 slate. Now, "The Green Hornet" starring Seth Rogen and Stephen Chow is set for release on July 9, 2010. It was scheduled for release on June 25.

Meanwhile, to imitate Warner's success with "The Hangover," Sony is releasing its buddy comedy starring Adam Sandler called "Grown Ups" in the summertime. Initially slated for a March opening, "Grown Ups" is now set to open in the middle of summer, much like "The Hangover."

But there are other interesting films set to open during the June-July window next year. Some of them are:

"Twilight Saga: The Eclipse" -- June 30
"The Last Airbender" -- July 2
"Despicable Me" -- July 9
"Predators" -- July 9

It will be an interesting time at the box-office. No one can doubt the power of a "Twilight" movie, and M. Night Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender" is getting major buzz. Meanwhile, we have to wait and see for Universal's cartoon "Despicable Me" and the Robert Rodriguez sci-fi reboot "Predators."
