I Love the "Green Lantern" Costume, Don't You?

It's been a great week to be a geek, my, my, Comic-Con is just around the corner! But you don't have to wait for the greatest geek convention to take a sneak peek at "Green Lantern's" outfit. Entertainment Weekly is catering to the geeks in us by showing an exclusive, behind the scenes look at "Green Lantern" starring Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan aka the Green Lantern.

I love the suit! It's an organic part of Jordan's body, as opposed to a green suit. This one's a living, breathing costume, and makes the mythological ring appear to be more...magical!

I can't wait for Reynolds to utter these famous words:

In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil's might,
Beware my power... Green Lantern's light!

Mark Ruffalo to Go Green as "The Incredible Hulk!"

First off, I loooove Mark Ruffalo (watch for my fun interview with the actor for "The Kids Are All Right" very soon!). In the Focus Features feel-good drama, Ruffalo stars as an organic restaurant owner. But then I heard, the actor will go green in a whole new way! According to Deadline.com, he's in talks to star as The Incredible Hulk" in "The Avengers" for "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" creator Joss Whedon!

Take a Look at the Gods of "Thor!" And Of Course, "Thor" and "Captain America" Will Be 3-D

It looks fierce, in the picture, at least. But my inner geek was pounding with excitement when I saw this gods of "Thor" picture at the LA Times!

But then I continued reading the article, and came across the gimmick of the moment, 3-D. Yes folks, "Thor" and "Captain America" will be 3-D movies, are you excited? No?

"Thor" director Kenneth Branagh probably sensed that many of us are really not 3-D fans, so he's taking his case to the biggest conference made for geeks like you and me, Comic-Con!

If you want to hear Branagh's 3-D decision, head on out to Comic-Con on Saturday, July 24, at Hall H, and you'll also get a glimpse of the cast namely Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins, although, it's a BIG although, we don't know if all three will be present. Wanna bet Hemsworth will be the only one to attend? Okay, maybe Portman too.

Branagh told the LA Times, "We came to feel that in our case 3-D could be the very good friend of story and character for a different kind of experience."

So "Thor" will be the first Marvel film in 3-D and the second? "Captain America: The First Avenger" out July 22, 2011 from director Joe Johnston of "Jurassic Park 3" and "The Wolfman" who thinks 3-D "tends to be overused and can be a little bit gimmicky."

But here's the caveat -- both "Captain America" and "Thor" are shot in 2-D but "the considerable special effects for the films were conceived and executed from the beginning in 3-D."

Hhmmm, remember how horrible "Clash of the Titans" looked in 3-D? Well, that one was upconverted too, you know...

Elizabeth Banks to Shrink and Grow Wings in "Tink"

Walt Disney Pictures has been tinkering on making "Tink," a live-action adventure centered on Peter Pan's fantastic sidekick, Tinkerbell. And Variety is saying that Elizabeth Banks is attached to play the title character.

Banks is also helping to develop the movie for her production company. Elizabeth Wright Shapiro and McG, yes McG (!), are co-writing the script. The plot of the film will stay true to the mischievous nature of Tinkerbell. Sounds cool, just don't let McG direct okay?

Brett Ratner to Direct "Hercules?"

The remake of "Clash of the Titans" made gazillion dollars, "Prince of Persia" was a huge hit overseas, so it's just a matter of time before the tale of the swords-and-sandals mythological god, Hercules, becomes a big-screen adventure. And the LA Times is reporting that Brett Ratner is in talks to direct for Avi Lerner and his Millennium/Nu Image production.

Is Ratner a good choice to helm the film? Well, it's not like both "Clash of the Titans" and "Prince of Persia" were Oscar contenders with dense storytelling, so Ratner will be just fine.
