Forget Eddie Murphy's Dreadful Version, Guillermo del Toro Visits "Haunted Mansion"

Guillermo del Toro decided to left "The Hobbit" but is now planning on entering the magical world of Disney by bringing "The Haunted Mansion" to the big screen! Del Toro announced his plans at Comic-Con where he exclusively revealed his project's inception to The Hollywood Reporter.

"It's going to be a thrill ride for the whole family but it's definitely going to be scary," he told THR. "(Walt) Disney is one of the creators of some of the scariest images in my childhood. People forget that he not only made sweet images but also images of nightmare. We need to honor that side of the legacy."

According to the director, this will be a scary flick similar to the scary ride. So thank God it's not going to be the corny, horrible version that Eddie Murphy and company did in 2003. To read more on the story, click here.
