Are You Excited for "Battleship" Or Should We Sink It?

"Transformers" redux anyone? The trailer presents the movie with the same shimmering sheen as the Michael Bay Paramount extravaganza right? After all, both "Transformers" and "Battleship" came from Hasbro although the latter's origin was a board game.

But this one's from Universal, and it's from respectable actor/director Peter Berg. And even Liam Neeson is in it! But already, many are calling the film cheesy, crappy, and someone even asks, "does no one care about content anymore?"

See, when you guys keep on watching films like "Transformers 1, 2, and 3," Hollywood will continue to give us cheesy, crappy, content-free movies!

Suffice it to say, not everyone is saying "All Hail 'Battleship." Me? I'm saving my energy until I see the film when it opens May 18th of next year.

Plus, aren't you guys excited to see Rihanna on the big screen?

Here's more info on "Battleship" from Yahoo:

GENRES: Action/Adventure, Science Fiction, War and Adaptation
IN THEATERS: May 18th, 2012 (wide)
MPAA: Not yet rated.

'Battleship,' an epic action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force.

Movie Review: The Secret to Enjoying "Cowboys & Aliens!"

When you are presented with a movie named "Cowboys & Aliens" you know exactly what you are going to get. Instead of Indians being the bad guys, the extraterrestrials are the ones terrorizing the wild, wild West.

It's a clever concept but when you are mixing genres you are entering a very treacherous terrain. In "Cowboys & Aliens," the western genre elopes with sci-fi and the filmmakers tried their best to find the perfect balance. Predictably, the western elements overshadow the sci-fi aspects. How Do I Love "Crazy, Stupid, Love?" Let Me Count the Kisses Or Read My Movie Review!

Watching a smart romantic comedy like “Crazy, Stupid, Love” in a summer filled with fighting giant robots, magical boy wizards, and avenging superheroes is like drinking a tall, cool glass of lemonade during sweltering heat.

Written by Dan Fogelman, the guy who gave us the Disney/Pixar “Cars” movies, and directed by Glen Ficarra and John Requa (“Bad Santa,” “I Love You Phillip Morris”), “Crazy, Stupid, Love” is witty, charming, and oddly uplifting. You will be soul-searching long after the movie is finished. “Crazy, Stupid, Love” is this year’s “Little Miss Sunshine.”

The film is decidedly farcical in nature and the talented cast is more than game to dish out every absurd and preposterous narrative arc to full effect. There’s an important major plot twist near the end and if you have seen the movie already please do not spoil it by your earnest revelation. Read More...
