Okay y'all, this may be just pure fantasy right now, but according to the Telegraph, Cher is in talks to play Catwoman opposite Christian Bale in the third Batman film from Christopher Nolan.
Look, Cher is a good actress ("Mask," "Silkwood," "Moonstruck") but isn't this a stretch?
But wait, the Telegraph is also claiming that Johnny Depp will play the Riddler, and that filming of the new Batman movie is due to begin in Vancouver early next year, with a working title of "The Caped Crusader."
More eyebrow raising quote?
A studio executive said: "Cher is Nolan's first choice to play Catwoman. He wants to her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years.
OMG! Who are their sources? Too good to be true! AND, I don't think there's a script written yet.
So this may all just be rumors y'all.
Sorry Cher fans!

"Contrary to recent media reports, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. is not for sale," the studio responded in a statement. "There is no 'asking price' for the company. MGM's existing financing arrangements are sufficient to meet its needs. Goldman Sachs has been retained to explore enhancements to MGM's long-term capital structure.
