All together now, FAME! I'M GONNA MAKE IT TO HEAVEN!
Lakeshore is serious about rebooting "Fame." And I'm happy as a clam! I used to love this movie as a kid. It even got me into dancing and singing
But the big question -- is Irene Cara going to be back?
Our friend at Collider sat down with Lakeshore, and discovered:
*** they’re going to shoot the movie this November
*** the students will all be unknowns but some of the teachers we’ll recognize
*** the budget is around $25-30 million
*** they’re going to film in New York and the interiors in Los Angeles
*** it’s set today
*** All new songs except they’re going to use the Fame song

Remember this 80s treasure? "Voltron: Defender of the Universe" is now going to be a feature film, and is being put on fast track.
It's being produced by Fox-based New Regency.
According to Variety , New Regency picked up the rights to the property, adapted by scribe Justin Marks, who's behind Warner Bros.' bigscreen versions of "He-Man" and "Green Arrow."
Marks' take is described as a post-apocalyptic tale set in New York City and Mexico, where five survivors of an alien attack band together and end up piloting the five lion-shaped robots that combine and form the massive sword-wielding Voltron that helps battle Earth's invaders.
The success of "Transformers" is bringing all these robots out into the open!

The comedy debuted at No. 1 with $26 million, while the Batman flick made $16.8 million. The other new film last weekend, "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," failed to capture the Star Wars box-office magic, and landed on No. 3 with $15.5 million.
