Say what you want about Brett Ratner, but at least, that dude is consistent! And he keeps himself busy.
Currently, he's in talks to direct "God of War" and a possible "Beverly Hills Cop 4" movie. Now, Ratner is saying he wants to strum a "Guitar Hero" movie!
But he doesn't think Activision, the videogame's parent company, would want him to.
MTV News caught up with Ratner, and the director said:
“I love ‘Guitar Hero’ and I think it’s a part of pop culture. I would love to do a ‘Guitar Hero’ movie, if Activision would ever let me. I’m trying to convince them, but why would you have a movie screw up such a huge franchise? Not that I would make a bad movie. So that would be cool, to do a ‘Guitar Hero’ movie. ”
So what's his big idea for a plot? Read More...

You know the drill. You sit down, armed with buttery popcorn, and you're assaulted with mega trailers first (don't get me wrong, I love watching trailers, sometimes, it's the best part of your movie-watching experience), then fade to black.
You see the familiar studio logo.
You think the movie is about to begin.
But wait...there's more!
By the time the movie finally begins, you've sat through watching 6 or 8 or 10 movie studio logos!
There's a great article here examining our current "movie logo" culture. Read, and weep, until the next time you're in your favorite multiplex only to experience movie-logo watching over and over and over again.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the John Lennon biopic is coming together nicely, thank you very much!
From the production company that brought us "Becoming Jane" and "Brideshead Revisited," comes "Nowhere Boy," a film that will focus on the Beatle's childhood and subsequent journey to icon status.
Filming of the script written by "Control's" Matt Greenhalgh is set to take place on location in Lennon's hometown of Liverpool.
It's kind of interesting that the filmmakers will take a closer look at Lennon's relationship with the women in his life. They are saying that "The women in John's early life truly shaped who he became."
Prepare for some Yoko Ono sighting!

The fantastic Aaron Sorkin ("West Wing" creator), one of Hollywood's biggest writers, is about to write a film about the founders of Facebook!
I've always known there's drama behind the scenes. Have you read the Rolling Stone article, The Battle for Facebook?
If not, here it is, read it in awe!
Well, Sorkin opened up his Facebook account for research!
"I understand there are a few other people using Facebook pages under my name -- which I find more flattering than creepy -- but this is me. I don't know how I can prove that but feel free to test me," he wrote before going on to talk about the movie project.
"I figured a good first step in my preparation would be finding out what Facebook is, so I've started this page. (Actually it was started by my researcher, Ian Reichbach, because my grandmother has more Internet savvy than I do and she's been dead for 33 years.)"
