Get Ready for Bob Marley -- the Movie!

Jenny Ash, the Emmy-nominated UK director for "America -- the Story of Us," is planning to work on a Bob Marley biopic according to Deadline Hollywood. This one will focus on Marley's life in London in 1977. Why? It was a colorful year for Marley -- he fled Jamaica, he sustained a soccer injury, and it was also the year of his iconic Rainbow Theater gig.

Ash is adamant to showcast Marley the man, rather than Marley the legend. She tells Deadline, “There’s never been a fiction film about Marley...We’ve never had a sense of him as a real man, as opposed to the legend."

The big problem for Ash and company? They don't have the rights to Marley's songs yet. And a bigger question? Who should play Marley?

Seth Rogen to Spook You in "Boo U"

Seth Rogen, who last voiced the character B.O.B. in "Monsters vs. Aliens," will return to the world of animation as a ghost! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rogen will team up with DreamWorks Animation again for "Boo U" where he will voice the part of a ghost who must return to ghost school to learn the proper way of spooking folks!

Rogen previously voiced roles in "Horton Hears a Who!," "The Spiderwick Chronicles," and "Kung Fu Panda" and its sequel "The Kaboom of Doom."

"Igor" director Tony Leondis will helm the project, but really, I'm not a fan of that film, so why him?

"Nanny McPhee Returns" Movie Review! How Many Kisses Does Emma Thompson Deserve?

I was not particularly fond of the first “Nanny McPhee” movie released in 2005. While I found the cast, headed by Emma Thompson as the magical nanny, appealing, the film was ultimately unrewarding. So to my surprise, the sequel, simply called “Nanny McPhee Returns,” is not only satisfying, it’s also quite delightful.

Just like the first film, this one is also written by Thompson based on characters created by Christianna Brand from the “Nurse Matilda” books. The Academy award-winning actress and screenwriter also returns as the unusual and hideous-looking woman who calls herself a “government nanny.” Read More...

David Fincher Finds His "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"

After weeks of speculation, Sony has finally announced that Rooney Mara will play the memorable computer hacker character of Lisbeth Salander in the three-picture adaptation of Stieg Larsson's Millenium trilogy. The first film of the series is "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." David Fincher will direct the film from a screenplay by Steve Zaillian.

Mara is an American actress who starred in 2010's "Youth in Revolt" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street" remake. She previously worked with Fincher in the upcoming Facebook drama "The Social Network."

The actress will be co-starring with Daniel Craig in the U.S. version. Craig will star as the journalist Mikael Blomkvist. Noomi Rapace played the Salander role and Michael Nyqvist starred as Blomkvist in the original Swedish version.

According to EW.com, the plan is to have all the players speak with Swedish accents. Craig, I think, could pull this off, but let's wait and see if Mara can channel her inner Swede.
