Anne Hathaway Talks About "One Day" AND Teases Us About Her Catwoman Role in "The Dark Knight Rises!" She Scratches!

Anne Hathaway was in high spirits when I met her for the “One Day” junket in New York. This was my third time meeting her, and absolutely my favorite interview with her! She was sweet, cordial, and FUN!

Hathaway plays Emma Morley in the upcoming movie “One Day” based on the book by David Nicholls. Directed by Lone Scherfig, the fantastic helmer who gave us Carey Mulligan in “An Education,” “One Day” captures the tone and spirit of the book!

In this interview, we talked about:

*** What did she see in her character Emma that made her want to do “One Day”
*** How did she prepare for the role?
*** Did she help in looking for the right “look” for Emma?
*** Speaking of “look,” Hathaway teases us about Catwoman! She purrs and meows and scratches! HA!

It was a pleasure seeing Jim Sturgess again. I interviewed the actor before for “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole” where he voiced the character Soren. This time around, Sturgess stars in the romantic drama “One Day” with Anne Hathaway based on the beloved book by David Nicholls.

"Conan the Barbarian" Movie Review! How Many Kisses Does Jason Momoa Get?

I used to love the sword and sorcery genre as a kid. I entered the magical realm by way of the 1982 “Conan the Barbarian” movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. I even enjoyed the sequel, “Conan the Destroyer,” and the spin-off called “Red Sonja” starring Brigitte Nielsen.

So when I first heard that Lionsgate was planning to reboot “Conan the Barbarian,” I welcomed the news with utter disbelief. But I can tell you now that watching the latest incarnation of the world’s most famous barbarian brought back the same feelings I had when I saw Schwarzenegger’s heroic fantasy for the first time. Matthew McConaughey to Outstrip Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer in Male Stripper Drama!

This should get your juices flowing, HA! :happy

Variety is reporting that Matthew McConaughey is joining Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer in Steven Soderbergh's indie drama "Magic Mike."

Tatum will play Mike, a stripper and dancer who guides Pettyfer's character and teaches him the ins and outs of male stripping business. Shades of "All About Eve," anyone?

McConaughey will star as Dallas, an ex-stripper who now owns Xquisite, the club where "Magic Mike" takes place.

And shades of "Burlesque," no?

But I have a strong faith on Soderbergh. He's a great actor's director and always makes character-centric movies! Apparently, "Magic Mike" has shades (yes, I've been using that word a lot today!) of Tatum's experiences working as a teen stripper in Tampa!

(Have you seen Tatum's secret stripper past video? Click here!)

Reid Carolin is writing the script and is producing with Tatum and his 33andOut Productions. I'm glad Tatum is proud of his stripper past. Wouldn't you be?

Jason Momoa Talks About "Conan the Barbarian" -- the possible sequel, Schwarzenegger, and Spam!

Jason Momoa is enthralled to be playing the iconic Cimmerian warrior. As soon as I walked into the room, he giddily asked me if I'd seen the movie and if I liked it. Towering over me (it felt like the actor was three times my size), I replied yes, of course! And his face lit up.

Momoa, who was born in Hawaii and raised in Ohio, has some big shoes to fill (or warrior sandals), with Arnold Schwarzenegger starring in the 1982 version. But he's game, and he is very proud of the movie. See for yourself when the film opens this Friday, Aug. 19th.
In this interview, we talked about (CAUTION: SOME FEW CUSS WORDS...SORRY):

*** His attraction to making the film
*** Was he a fan of the original Schwarzenegger version?
*** Does Conan have a place in today's pop culture landscape?
*** Conan lives, loves, slays, and is contented. Does Momoa subscribe to those principles...without slaying, of course
*** How he prepared for the role -- he watched cats!!!
*** He wrote a "Conan" sequel!
*** The Hawaiian staple, SPAM!
