Anna Kendrick Interview for “ParaNorman”

I love Miss Anna Kendrick! Not only is she a talented actress who can steal scenes anytime, she is also a sweet person. I interviewed her for “Up in the Air” a while back, and when she saw me for the “ParaNorman” junket, she immediately gave me a hug. Awwww. ("ParaNorman" movie review)

In the movie, Kendrick voices the character of Courtney, Norman’s older, superficial sister. In this interview, we talked about:

*** Her interest in making “ParaNorman”
*** The film’s 80s vibe – John Hughes meets John Carpenter
*** Voicing the character of Courtney
*** Courtney’s nice lips HA!
*** Does she believe in the paranormal?

Have fun!

“ParaNorman” Writer/Directors Talk About the Movie

I fell in love with “ParaNorman!” It’s quite refreshing to see a summer movie that’s totally original – not based on anything previously created. The film began with writer/director Chris Butler who imagined a good, old fashioned creature feature. Soon, Sam Fell stepped in and the dynamic duo crafted one of the best animated films of 2012. ("ParaNorman" movie review)

In this interview, we talked about:

*** The inspiration behind “ParaNorman”
*** The film’s 80s vibe
*** Working together as the film’s directors
***Why embrace the stop-motion art form?

Have fun!

"ParaNorman" Movie Review

Focus Features and LAIKA, the companies behind the Academy Award-nominated animated film “Coraline,” return with another stop-motion flick called “ParaNorman.” It’s an animated wonder that perfectly blends comedy and thriller with just enough dash of sweetness.

Meet Norman Babcock (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee of “Let Me In” and “The Road), an 11-year-old outsider who sees dead people. He is gifted with the ability to see and speak with the dead such as his beloved grandmother (Elaine Stritch). But in the eyes of the living, he is cursed. Read More...

Yay! Heather Graham is Returning for "Hangover Part III"

The first "Hangover" was a comedic gem, the second, was an exact replica of the first but it was missing its heart -- Heather Graham's stripper character. So, I'm very happy to report that the actress is returning for Todd Phillips' threequel, "The Hangover Part III" from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures.

Graham's Jade was a Las Vegas stripper who fell in love with Ed Helms' Stu. But for "Hangover Part II," Jade did not go to Thailand with Helms, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Justin Bartha.

The super-secret plot for the third installment is under wraps, but Graham will reunited with other franchise veterans Mike Epps and Ken Jeong.

"The Hangover Part III" will be unveiled on May 24, 2013.
