Sweet! Audrey Hepburn's "Roman Holiday" Audition!

"Roman Holiday," the 1953 romantic comedy that made Audrey Hepburn a star and won her an Academy Award for Best Actress, is certainly an iconic film now and one of the best movies ever made. But before all the Oscars (the film also won screenplay and costume design) and before giving us Audrey Hepburn the star, there was a young actress making her first "personality test" for the role. And she charmed everyone! And rightfully so!

Thanks to our friends at Huffington Post, we can see the audition that landed Hepburn the role. And she was introduced by no other than Edith Head, yes, Miss Head! Take a look and fall in love with Audrey Hepburn again!

"The Smurfs 2" and "2 Guns" Movie Reviews -- Which One is My Pick of the Week?

Two movies to choose from this weekend, we have the live-action animated hybrid “The Smurfs 2” and the bang bang action of “2 Guns” starring Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington.

In “The Smurfs 2,” the evil Gargamel (Hank Azaria) returns to wreak havoc once again. This time, he wants to kidnap Smurfette (Katy Perry) so he can know the magical blue secret from Papa Smurf (Jonathan Winters). Neil Patrick Harris also returns as Patrick, the Smurfs’ human friend, and he’s there to help our favorite blue creatures rescue Smurfette. This star-studded extravaganza features the voice work of Christina Ricci (Vexy), J.B. Smoove (Hackus), George Lopez (Grouchy Smurf), and Anton Yelchin (Clumsy Smurf). Even Shaun White, Shaquille O’Neal, Jimmy Kimmel, and Mario Lopez join in on the fun.

“2 Guns” tells the tale of a DEA agent (Washington) and a naval intelligence officer (Wahlberg) who go undercover to infiltrate a drug cartel. But here’s the catch – neither knew that the other was an agent. Based on the Boom! Studios graphic novels and directed by Baltasar Kormakur, Paula Patton, James Warden, and Bill Paxton complete the cast.

So which one is my pick of the week? Take a look!

Oscar Hopes for Wahlberg? Check Out New Trailer for "Lone Survivor"

Universal has just released the trailer for "Lone Survivor" a U.S. Navy Seals drama starring Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster, Taylor Kitsch, Eric Bana, and Emile Hirsch. Now this is from "Battleship" director Peter Berg so tread lightly. But, Berg also gave us the war drama "The Kingdom," and "Friday Night Lights." If "Lone Survivor" is good, then we'll forgive Berg for making us sit through "Battleship."

The studio seems to have high Oscar hopes for the film since it's going to be released on Dec. 27th just in time for awards consideration. "Lone Survivor" will get a wider release in January.

Based on the non-fiction book "Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of Seal Team 10" by Marcus Luttrell and ghostwriter Patrick Robinson, the narrative takes place in Afghanistan where Luttrell (Wahlberg) and a group of U.S. Navy Seals depart in early July, 2005 for a reconnaissance mission. Five days later, only one of those Navy SEALS made it out alive. Guess which one is the lone survivor?

Yet, the trailer is actually gripping and makes me want to see the big screen adaptation. Take a look for yourself:

Get Ready for "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa!"

Okay, confession time! I have a special spot for "Jackass" and all its incarnations, TV and movies and otherwise. It's a gross-out, raunchy affair that also manages to make me laugh a little, and pout a devilish smile.

The last time we saw our friendly "Jackass" friends on the big screen was in 2010's "Jackass 3D" and yes, poop never looked so good in three-dimension! (check out my fun interviews with the cast right here)

And now, because "Paranormal Activity 5" has been delayed, Paramount decided to put "Bad Grandpa" on its slate. The fourth "Jackass" installment will now hit theaters on Oct. 25.

The studio just released the trailer for "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa" to whet our appetite for Johnny Knoxville's drag persona -- the geriatric Irving Zisman. This time around, Irving and his 8-year-old grandson will travel cross-country for a road trip film full of zany gags.

Seriously, I can't wait! I like Irving and his bad grandpa self!

Here's the trailer:
