Yet Another "Tarzan"

Stephen Sommers, director of the first two "Mummy" films, the upcoming "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra," and "The Jungle Book," is in talks to direct a big screen version of "Tarzan."

Sommers will also co-write the script with Stuart Beattie ("Collateral," the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise and Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming "Australia")

And this is surprising to me. I didn't know that two years ago, Guillermo Del Toro was in talks to direct. Now, that's the "Tarzan" I'm anxious to see!

A New Vision for "Superman"

Comic book author, Mark Millar, fresh from the success of "Wanted," has a new vision to reboot "Superman." He said:

"I've had this plan for like 10 years for a big three-picture Superman thing, like a Lord of the Rings epic, starting over from scratch again with a seven-hour Superman story. One to be released each year."

Meet "Voltron" Director

As we reported last week, Voltron is moving forward!

Now, our friend El Mayimbe from LatinoReview has an exclusive story about the planned director of the movie!

Ladies and gentlemen, we now present to you MAX MAKOWSKI!

His involvement is kinda of curious though. Sure, the guy made a splash at 2005 Sundance with a film called "One Last Dance." And he's supposed to be a great visionary director ala Zach Synder from "300."

BUT, he also directed the super-influential reality hit, QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY!

Look, I'm not discounting Makowski's credentials! He may be a truly great visionary director. But he better do a great job adapting "Voltron" for the big screen, because handling 5 loveable queer folks is completely diffeent from helming a big-screen "Voltron" battle!

I'm starting my litany of prayers right now :happy
