So the producers of "Next Day Air" are developing a movie around jerkin,' the hip-hop dance craze.
Oh gosh, it's another one of those "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo" movies.
Producers will team up with Todd Moscowitz who runs Asylum Records which has released a bunch of jerkin'-themed records like the New Boyz's "You're a Jerk."
Jerkin' is a performance-art dance craze, much like breakdancing, but this one is supposed to have an underlying political ideology -- it provides a positive, anti-gang message. Dancers wear brightly colored, non-baggy jeans and shirts.
The dance craze originated in Southern California. As for the film? No word yet though on the script or the director or the plot. But I suspect it'll be about an inner city kid who has great skills in jerkin' and he uses his dancing prowess to get out of the ghetto.
Hhhhhmmmm, haven't we heard that plot before?
For now, y'all can learn how to jerk!

Fresh from teaming up with "Sherlock Holmes" starring Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, and Rachel McAdams, Warner Bros. has hired Guy Ritchie to direct "Lobo," the DC Comics adventure about an alien bounty hunter.
The recent script draft was written by Don Payne; Joel Silver, Akiva Goldsman, and Andrew Rona are attached to produce.
"Lobo" will be Ritchie's follow-up to "Sherlock Holmes."
Production for "Lobo" will begin early next year.
The character first came alive in 1983 in a comic book title "Omega Men," written by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen.
In the movie adaptation, Lobo will be an indestructible, blue-skinned, 7-foot tall antihero who lands on earth in search of four fugitives hell bent on destruction.
Oh, he drives a super cool, pimped-out motorcycle too!
But to give heart to the movie, the antihero will be teaming up with a small-town teenage girl.
Warner Bros. is gunning for a PG-13 rating, and they picture the film to be a visual effects-driven movie with Ritchie's trademark rough and tough storytelling.

From FX-driven movies to Oscar hopefuls, here are the films I’m looking forward to seeing this fall.
“9” – From producers Timur Bekmambetov (“Wanted”) and Tim Burton, this post-apocalyptic nightmare promises to be surreal and heartbreaking.
“Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” – Based on the 1982 children’s book by Judi and Ron Barrett, the film tells the tale of a town where food falls from the sky. Yum!
