Some fans of the vampire romance franchise "Twilight" can now buy movie tickets for the earliest performances of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" more than two months before its release!

"New Moon" topped Fandango's latest weekly survey of the most hotly-anticipated movies. Breaking news there! 39% of visitors voted for the "Twilight" sequel, while 23% said they'd rather watch "Avatar," and 16% chose "2012." The end is near!

Hence, Carmike Cinemas used Fandango to offer tickets to midnight Nov. 19 performances of "New Moon." If you're a fan and there's a Carmike Cinema near you (Carmike theaters in Fort Wayne, IN; Winston-Salem, N.C.; and Des Moines, Iowa), then go buy your tickets!

"The Green Hornet" vs "Tron Legacy"

Come Dec. 17, 2010, a 1966 Chrysler Crown Imperial will duke it out with Lightcycles for box-office supremacy!

Because Columbia Pictures' "The Green Hornet" and Disney's "Tron Legacy" will be unveiled at the box-office.

Columbia just picked the release date of Dec. 17, then a few days later, Disney chose the same schedule! So Seth Rogen ("The Green Hornet") will fight with Jeff Bridges ("Tron Legacy") to the bloody finish.

Both movies are gunning for the same demographics.

So which one will you see? Or do you even care?

I, for one, will line up for "Tron Legacy" first!

Jerkin' Dance Craze to be a Movie!

So the producers of "Next Day Air" are developing a movie around jerkin,' the hip-hop dance craze.

Oh gosh, it's another one of those "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo" movies.

Producers will team up with Todd Moscowitz who runs Asylum Records which has released a bunch of jerkin'-themed records like the New Boyz's "You're a Jerk."

Jerkin' is a performance-art dance craze, much like breakdancing, but this one is supposed to have an underlying political ideology -- it provides a positive, anti-gang message. Dancers wear brightly colored, non-baggy jeans and shirts.

The dance craze originated in Southern California. As for the film? No word yet though on the script or the director or the plot. But I suspect it'll be about an inner city kid who has great skills in jerkin' and he uses his dancing prowess to get out of the ghetto.

Hhhhhmmmm, haven't we heard that plot before?

For now, y'all can learn how to jerk!

Guy Ritchie Takes On "Lobo," Alien Bounty Hunter!

Fresh from teaming up with "Sherlock Holmes" starring Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, and Rachel McAdams, Warner Bros. has hired Guy Ritchie to direct "Lobo," the DC Comics adventure about an alien bounty hunter.

The recent script draft was written by Don Payne; Joel Silver, Akiva Goldsman, and Andrew Rona are attached to produce.

"Lobo" will be Ritchie's follow-up to "Sherlock Holmes."

Production for "Lobo" will begin early next year.

The character first came alive in 1983 in a comic book title "Omega Men," written by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen.

In the movie adaptation, Lobo will be an indestructible, blue-skinned, 7-foot tall antihero who lands on earth in search of four fugitives hell bent on destruction.

Oh, he drives a super cool, pimped-out motorcycle too!

But to give heart to the movie, the antihero will be teaming up with a small-town teenage girl.

Warner Bros. is gunning for a PG-13 rating, and they picture the film to be a visual effects-driven movie with Ritchie's trademark rough and tough storytelling.
