Leslie Mann Joins Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman in "The Change Up"

Remember those body-swapping films from the 80s? "Like Father Like Son," "Switch," "Big." Well, the body-swapping genre is apparently alive and well, and Universal is teaming Ryan Reynolds with Jason Bateman for the comedy "The Change" from director David Dobkin. Leslie Mann is joining the pair in the lead female role.

I can see many formulas littering our big-screen when this film opens. But the script is written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, the guys who gave us one of the funniest films ever made, "The Hangover." So there may be hope.

The plot revolves around a family man who accidentally switches bodies with his best friend, a slacker actor. And then redemption follows, the end. Didn't Mann just star in the recent body-swap film "17 Again?" She must really, really love the genre!

Rachel Weisz to have Sex, Sex, and More Sex in "360"

Rachel Weisz returns to the loving arms of director Fernando Meirelles, the guy who made her a Best Supporting Actress Oscar-winner for "Constant Gardener." According to Deadline, the psycho-sexual drama is going to be called "360" inspired by Arthur Schnitzler’s play "Reigen" (or "La Ronde").

The script is adapted for the screen by Peter Morgan ("The Queen," "Frost/Nixon") and is all about sex, sex, sex! It's like a musical chair centered on sexual liaisons. One couple is featured before or after sex, then one character from each is shown with another partner, then another, and then another, until it comes full circle. Wow!

It's promiscuity at its finest! So what the heck is the plot? If you wiki "Reigen," here's what you'll get:

The play is set in the 1890s in Vienna. Its dramatic structure consists of ten interlocking scenes between pairs of lovers. Each of its ten characters appears in two consecutive scenes (with one from the final scene, The Whore, having appeared in the first).

Scenes:

The Whore and the Soldier
The Soldier and the Parlor Maid
The Parlor Maid and the Young Gentleman
The Young Gentleman and the Young Wife
The Young Wife and The Husband
The Husband and the Little Miss
The Little Miss and the Poet
The Poet and the Actress
The Actress and the Count
The Count and the Whore

Again, what the heck is the plot?

Sacha Baron Cohen to Star as Freddie Mercury!

From "Borat" to "Bruno," and now to Freddie Mercury, Sacha Baron Cohen has signed on to star in a movie about the great Queen frontman. Scriptwriter Peter Morgan, the guy who gave us "The Queen," is tackling music royalty Queen and the flamboyant superstar Mercury who died of AIDS-related causes in 1991.

The still untitled project will end with Queen's memorable performance at the 1985 Live Aid concert.

GK Films is producing with Robert De Niro's Tribeca Productions and Queen Films. There's no director attached yet, but production is due to start next year.

Apparently, the band is 100% behind the project, and I think Cohen is perfect casting! He has facial similarities with the singer, and the comedian has proven he could sing with his performance in Tim Burton's "Sweeney Todd."

"The Town" Movie Review -- How Many Kisses Does Ben Affleck Get?

Ben Affleck, the director, or Ben Affleck the actor. Who is better? Check out my review of "The Town," starring and directed by Ben Affleck.

Here's more info on "The Town" from Yahoo:

Doug MacRay is an unrepentant criminal, the de facto leader of a group of ruthless bank robbers who pride themselves in stealing what they want and getting out clean. With no real attachments, Doug never has to fear losing anyone close to him.

But that all changed on the gang's latest job, when they briefly took a hostage--bank manager, Claire Keesey. Though they let her go unharmed, Claire is nervously aware that the robbers know her name and where she lives. But she lets her guard down when she meets an unassuming and rather charming man named Doug not realizing that he is the same man who only days earlier had terrorized her.

The instant attraction between them gradually turns into a passionate romance that threatens to take them both down a dangerous, and potentially deadly, path.
