STAR WARS COMES TO TV -- BUT WHERE ARE THE SKYWALKERS?
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The Force may soon be coming to a television near you.

George Lucas said Tuesday he is planning a live-action television series spinoff of the "Star Wars" film franchise.

Lucas told The Los Angeles Times he has "just begun work" on the series, which will not include the films' major characters Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader.

"The Skywalkers aren't in it, and it's about minor characters," Lucas told the Times.

Lucas wouldn't reveal details, but joked that the series would be about "the life of robots."

Lucas already has another television series in the works. Lucas Animation has been working for months on the computer-animated "Star Wars: The Clone Wars."

NICOLAS CAGE VANISHES
Nicolas Cage just signed on to star in "The Vanished" to be directed by Hany Abu-Assad, the Palestinian director who gave us the searing film, "Paradise Now."

This will be the first studio film for Abu-Assad.

Cage will be busy! He will first shoot "The Wrestler" in January for director Darren Aronofsky (his first film after the disastrous "The Fountain"), then Cage will disappear right into "The Vanished" in April.

SWEENEY TODD, THE MUSICAL, TRAILER!!!!
:4k

I can't wait for this film! Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, not to mention Helena Bonham Carter, and Mister Borat himself...Sacha Baron Cohen!

Saw the play last year with the great Patti Lupone...love the Stephen Sondheim music, and with "The Aviator's" scribe, John Logan, attached...this should be the must-see film this December!!!

For now, let's enjoy the trailer of "Sweeney Todd: The Demon of Barber Fleet Street"

HELLRAISER REMAKE! PINHEAD RETURNS!

Pinhead returns to the big screen with the new "Hellraiser" remake to be directed by French filmmakers, Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo.

Don't worry, Clive Barker will be producing.

The French duo previously worked together on a horror film called, "À l'Intérieur."

Dimension, the film company that resurrected Michael Myers in "Halloween," is behind the hell raising!

"Julien and Alex showed their incredible creative talent, and I'm excited to have them at the helm, working with Clive Barker, to create a fresh, suspenseful and scary reimagining of the classic tale," said Weinstein Co. co-chairman Bob Weinstein.

Let's hope these French dudes don't screw Pinhead up!
