"Beverly Hills Chihuahua" barks atop a busy box-office weekend debuting at No. 1 with a $29 million take.
A much better news for Hollywood? The top-12 movies hauled in $95.4 million, up 42 percent from the same weekend a year ago, when "The Game Plan" was No. 1 with $16.6 million.
The previous weekend's No. 1 movie, the techno-thriller "Eagle Eye," slipped to second-place with $17.7 million.
Romantic films filled-in No. 3 and No. 4 with "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" debuting on the third spot with $12 million. The Richard Gere-Diane Lane tearjerker, "Nights in Rodanthe" held on at No. 4 with $7.4 million.

Mister Colin Farrell, who's super-sweet in person, is also a super nice guy!
He donated a very generous "Pride and Glory NYC Premiere" package. Airfare for 2 in the US, 2 nights in Hotel and
tickets to premiere.
Proceeds go to a Foundation for "Angelman's syndrome" which his son, James, has.

Freaking Finally! De Niro will show to everyone once again why he's iconic!
I was 2 minutes away from relegating him to has-been category for attaching his precious name to all these crappy films (are you listening Mister Al Pacino?).
But now, thanks to Paramount Pictures, they are partnering one of the greatest living American actors to the greatest living American director, Martin Scorsese...again!
Here are some highlights:
*** The film is going to be called "I Heard You Paint Houses" based on Charles Brandt's book
*** The script is going to be written by Steve Zaillian
