According to the Hollywood Reporter, Don Cheadle is replacing Terrence Howard in "Iron Man 2."
Howard played Tony Stark/Iron Man's best bud, Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes, and for those die-hard fans, the character will eventually don an armor outfit to be the hero War Machine.
But all that exciting character development will now be embodied by Cheadle.
So why did Howard leave? MONEY $$$$!!!
But apparently, Marvel is paying lots of dough for Robert Downey Jr. to return. Jon Favreau is set to come back as director, and Gwyneth Paltrow will also return as Pepper Potts.

Developing Story: According to the LA Times:
Richard Donner, who directed and produced all four "Lethal Weapon" films but found himself excluded from the recent plans to make a fifth, now says that his old friend Mel Gibson has walked away from the franchise revival.
Well, if there's no Mel, then there's no "Lethal" franchise right?
"Mel turned it down," Donner said. "I would like to think that Mel turned it down because I wasn't involved. Knowing Mel, I would like to think that. Would that be the kind of thing he does? It sure would be."
Hhhhmmmmm. Also, Donner directed the first 2 "Superman" films (he wasn't credited for the second one, but you know) with Christopher Reeve. So what does he really think of "Superman Returns" by Bryan Singer?
Take a look at his response here.

Apparently, greed is still good! Michael Douglas, not formally attached yet, may return to the role he won an Oscar for in 1988.
But 20th Century Fox is moving forward with the sequel, and the studio already tapped Allan Loeb ("21") to write the screenplay.
According to Variety,
The modern-day story will again center on Gordon Gekko, who has recently been sprung from prison and re-emerges into a much more tumultuous financial world than the one he once lorded over. The Bud Fox character, played by Charlie Sheen in the original, will not appear in the latest incarnation.
Sorry Sheen fans.
Original producer, Edward R. Pressman, is aboard.
But the big question, is Oliver Stone going to return as the director?
For now, let's relive Gekko's shining moment muttering the famous line, "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good."

"Sherlock Holmes" director Guy Ritchie (left) with his main star, Robert Downey Jr. as the esteemed detective. He looks more Chaplinesque to me, don't you think? (who Downey played in 1992 and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor).
The film is currently shooting in Central London, and there are more pics! Click here to see them all!
