Eddie Murphy to Scale "Tower Heist" with Ben Stiller

Eddie Murphy is joining Ben Stiller and Alan Alda in Universal's "Tower Heist" according to Deadline. Brett Ratner is attached to direct with Imagine's Brian Grazer producing.

Murphy will also act as executive producer along with Karen Kehela Sherwood and Kim Roth. Jeff Nathanson is rewriting the script by Ted Griffin.

The storyline suggests that it's going to be a Wall Street crook versus maintenance workers comedy. The crook, who's under house arrest living the high life in a penthouse apartment, looted the workers. So the workers, led by an overworked building manager (to be played by Stiller), use their knowledge of the building to get back at the crook. It's like revenge of the janitors!

Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, Rashida Jones to Play with Muppets

Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, and Rashida Jones are in talks to join Jason Segel in Disney's Muppet movie according to The Hollywood Reporter. James Bobin is attached to direct, and production begins in November.

Segel teamed up with his "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" director, Nicholas Stoller, to come up with the story of our favorite Muppets reuniting to put on a show in order to save a movie studio.

Aw...isn't that wonderful?

Adams will play Segel's girlfriend while Cooper is the Big Bad. He hates Muppets and he wants to buy the studio so he can dig for oil. Meanwhile, Jones will star as an ABC executive.

Get Ready for "Top Gun Part 2!" But Where's Tom Cruise?

Paramount Pictures has made offers to both producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Tony Scott to make "Top Gun 2" according to Vulture. "The Usual Suspect's" Christopher McQuarrie is updating the script and Tom Cruise would reprise his Maverick role but it would be a smaller part.

The big question -- will Kelly McGillis show up?
