Do We Really Need Another "Die Hard" Movie? What About Another "Percy Jackson" Flick? Or "Taken 2?"

Well folks, Fox has confirmed that new installments of the "Die Hard" and "Percy Jackson" franchises are heading to theaters near you whether you like it or not! So yippee ki-yay...you know what's next.

The fifth installment of the franchise that just won't die is now called "A Good Day to Die Hard." Bruce Willis will return to the role of John McClaine, because he's not busy apparently, and I heard that this one will feature the character's son. You know what that means right? McClaine will pass the baton to his son, so yup, this is a franchise that just won't ever, ever die! Hard!

Fox has targeted the much-coveted date of Feb. 14, 2013 because sweethearts all over the world will be in the mood to watch yet another "Die Hard" movie on Valentine's Day. Right? No?

This one will be directed by long-time Fox busy-bee John Moore because loyalty is big in the studio. The guy who gave us the cinematic masterpieces such as "Max Payne" and "The Omen" remake beat out other contenders such as Justin Lin of "Fast Five," and gasp, Nicolas Winding Refn of "Drive" AND Joe Cornish of "Attack the Block!" Yup, this one will definitely suck!

Speaking of sucking, are you excited for another "Percy Jackson" movie? This one's also from Fox and the studio has set the date of March 26, 2013 for the latest one called "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters."

Can I tell you a secret? I was lukewarm with the first "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief" but lo and behold, after repeated watching on cable, it actually grew on me. So, the sequel may have a gleam of hope! I thought the second flick would be called "Percy Jackson & the Clash of the Titans," HA!

And now, more Fox release dates (thanks Hollywood Reporter):

Oct. 5, 2012 (Columbus Day weekend) -- "Taken 2" -- who will be taken this time? Liam Neeson?

Oct. 26, 2012 -- "Men & Mavericks" -- Gerard Butler goes surfing

Nov. 21, 2012 (Thanksgiving) -- "Parental Guidance" starring Billy Crystal, Marisa Tomei, and Bette Midler" from director Andy Finkman

Oct. 11, 2013 -- "Walking with Dinosaurs"

Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald Cut Loose! Check Out Our Interview for "Footloose!"

It was so much fun to sit down with the main cast of “Footloose.” The film is a love story after all and these two actors succeeded in making us believe in their against all odds romance.

Kenny Wormald is perfect in the role of Ren, the rebellious teen who challenges the status quo, and Julianne Hough can act! We all know her from “Dancing with the Stars” but trust me when I say, she can emote lines as much as performing her dance routines. She plays Ariel, the preacher’s wild child daughter.

In this interview, we talked about:

*** Their interest in working on the movie
*** Working with writer-director Craig Brewer
*** Is Ken nervous that he’s stepping into Kevin Bacon’s big dancing shoes?
*** Julianne is a triple threat – dancer, singer, and now, actress!
*** The dramatic confrontational church scene for Julianne
*** The warehouse, angry dance for Kenny
*** The cameos in the movie
*** Shooting the final dance scene

HAVE FUN!

Here's more info on "Footloose" from Yahoo:

Ren MacCormack is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomont's local councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore responded by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing. Miles Teller and Ziah Colon Talk About "Footloose!" I Love These Two!

Miles Teller (Willard) and Ziah Colon (Rusty) are stepping into mighty big shoes just like the rest of the cast of “Footloose.” The character of Willard was personified by Chris Penn in the original, and Rusty was played by Sarah Jessica Parker long before she became Carrie Bradshaw in the “Sex and the City” franchise.

But both actors came out on top and gave their own spin to their respective roles.

In this interview, we talked about:

*** What made them cut loose for “Footloose?”
*** Are they nervous that they’re stepping into some mighty big shoes?
*** Miles used to play Willard in a high school production of “Footloose” the musical
*** How did they research their roles?
*** What happens to their characters after the prom?
*** Their experience in working in the movie
*** Were they fans of the original?

HAVE FUN!
