This is very exciting! I love the "Harry Potter" franchise, it's been consistent from the very beginning all the way to the heartfelt ending. I cried, you cried, we cried, and guess what? I'm sure you'll cry again when you see the documentary "When Harry Left Hogwarts."
Morgan Matthews, the documentarian behind this special, was given private access tot he set of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2" and captures bittersweet moments surrounding the end of the franchise. Get your tissue ready! Check out the teaser/trailer below courtesy of our friends at the Huffington Post.
The documentary will be included in the four-disc Blu-ray set available only at Target. The release date is on November 11.
Oh, as for the picture above? No, that's not our Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) playing hooded terrorists. It's the picture of the actors trying to hide from the paparazzi en route to the "Harry Potter" set.

I love The Filipino Channel! I found long-lost friends through my appearances at Balitang America every Friday with their well-loved anchor, Gel Santos Relos. Not only that, my mom who lives in the Midwest can also watch me on TV, or my relatives from all across the world can see my latest movie reviews just by subscribing to TFC (The Filipino Channel).
But most importantly, I love being on The Filipino Channel because it allows me to give my review in my native tongue of Tagalog, and so, I love keeping it real y'all
So it was a lovefest when I visited the station, based in San Francisco, last week! I was live with Miss Gel (video below) talking about "Footloose" and my past life as a dancer, millions of pounds ago!
Their production crew also shot a bunch of upcoming promos with yours truly, so I can't wait to see the footage!
So my Filipino friends, please subscribe to The Filipino Channel, and find me there every Friday with Gel for Balitang America. I promise you it will be a treat, and all my reviews are made with extra love!
Watch the video below and MARAMING SALAMAT!

It was a fight to the finish between box-office champ "Real Steel" and new contender "Footloose." Over the weekend, the two movies were only separated by $200,000 but today, based on the box-office weekend actuals from BoxOfficeMojo, "Real Steel" gets to keep its crown.
The Hugh Jackman film featuring the fantastic Dakota Goyo as his son reclaimed the top spot with $16.3 million.

Meanwhile, "Footloose" must settle for the No. 2 spot with $15.6 million. I enjoyed this remake, and I still stand by my claim that the remake was actually better than the first one!

"Footloose" was only made for $24 million so Paramount will be able to get its money back and much more within the next few weeks.
A remake that did not do as well was "The Thing." Well, it's more of a prequel, but still, the film only sold $8.5 million worth of tickets to debut at No. 3.
But the flop of the week belonged to Steve Martin, Jack Black, and Owen Wilson of the bird-watching comedy "The Big Year." The film earned $3.3 million to debut at No. 9...ouch!
Here's the Top 10 Box Office Films for weekend of Oct. 14th:
1. "Real Steel," $16.3 million
2. "Footloose," $15.6 million
3. "The Thing," $8.5 million
4. "The Ides of March," $7.1 million
5. "Dolphin Tale," $6.2 million
6. "Moneyball," $5.5 million
7. "50/50," $4.2 million
8. "Courageous," $3.3 million
9. "The Big Year," $3.3 million
10. "The Lion King," $2.8 million

No other than Matt Reeves, the guy who gave us "Let Me In" and "Cloverfield!" The script is written by Jason Rothenberg based on the classic Rod Serling TV series. Deadline tells us that negotiations will get underway next week and this is a much coveted job among top directors.
But unlike the 1983 "Twilight Zone: The Movie," this new adaptation will not feature different stories but a big science fiction action movie of which the story is linked to the original series. As long as it's not "The Box," I'm there!
Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way is producing the project for Warner Bros. The studio is hoping to sign Reeves quickly so he can work on the script and go into production by next summer.

Aaron Eckhart will star as the legendary Beach Boys drummer Dennis Wilson in Randall Miller & Jody Savin's "The Drummer" according to Deadline.
The biopic will concentrate on the last six years of Wilson's life which, according to many, he created some of the best music of his career. Right now, Eckhart is training for the role such as learning to play drums and piano as well as training vocally to sing. Known as the only Beach Boy who surfed, Wilson tragically drowned in Marina Del Rey in 1983 after drinking all day and diving all afternoon.
