Nina Dobrev Talks About “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”

Nina Dobrev, “The Vampire Diaries” star, is part of the fantastic ensemble of the new film “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” She plays Candace, the sister of our wallflower, Charlie (Logan Lerman). Emma Watson and Ezra Miller co-star from author/writer/director Stephen Chbosky. I met the actress in Toronto for the 2012 TIFF for this interview. We talked about (video below):

Why does the book resonate to many people?
How did she get involved into making “Perks of Being a Wallflower?”
Her character and her bond with Charlie
What you can expect in the DVD’s deleted scenes
Music as the soundtrack of our lives
The meaning of “we are infinite”

Have fun!

Check Out "The Lone Ranger" Poster, Still! Why So Serious...Maybe?

Walt Disney Pictures has unveiled the new poster for Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski's "The Lone Ranger" starring Johnny Depp as the sidekick Tonto, and Armie Hammer as The Lone Ranger. But from the looks of the poster, it might as well have been re-titled "Tonto" since it's Depp's character that's being sold. Nevermind his crow-headdress and make-up reminiscent of "The Dark Knight's" The Joker.

Here's a new picture from the movie too:

"The Lone Ranger" is very expensive -- $250 million! So, it's probably wise for Disney to milk their marquee star. But I enjoyed Verbinski's work, so this may be a good one. By the way, the trailer debuts tomorrow so we'll take a look together, shall we?

Movie Reviews: "Hotel Transylvania" VS. "Looper!"

NOTE: Sorry for the delay, I had to go to LA this weekend for "Argo!" Will post my interviews shortly.

Two big films opening this weekend, we have “Hotel Transylvania” for kids, and “Looper” for action fans. “Hotel Transylvania” stars Adam Sandler as the voice of Dracula. He builds a lavish resort so monsters and their families can be who they are. Oh by the way, no humans allowed!

In “Looper,” Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as Joe, a hired gun by the mob who’s been assigned to kill his future self, played by Bruce Willis. Ryan Johnson directs this sci-fi action thriller that really embraces its sci-fi, action, and thriller roots!

So which one is my pick of the week? Take a look:
