"Paranormal Activity 4" Movie Review -- How Many Demonic Kisses Does the Fourth Film Get?

Another year, another “Paranormal Activity” movie. This is the fourth one, but are the scares fading (movie review below)? Directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman (“Paranormal Activity 3”) return for the fourth installment set five years after the events of “Paranormal Activity 2.” What happened to Katie and Hunter? Before long, a suburban family is experiencing weird occurrences in their neighborhood. It’s now up to Alex (Kathryn Newton) to catch the bizarre events using Skype and smart phones. Oh yeah, there’s Xbox Kinect too!

And now it's Hugh Jackman aka Wolverine who's joining the Gangnam Style craze.

Psy, the Korean pop star behind the super-popular song, visited the set of Wolverine on Monday. And he tweeted all about it. Jackman even left his Wolverine claws as he danced.

New "Carrie" Teaser/Trailer!
Okay, I don't normally condone remakes, but this one seems interesting. First of all, it's from Kimberly Peirce, the director who made Hilary Swank a first-time Oscar winner in 1999's "Boys Don't Cry." Second, I adore the main cast -- Chloe Grace Moretz as Carrie (Sissy Spacek memorably played this role in the original) and Julianne Moore as her crazy and ultra-religious mom, Margaret White (played by Piper Laurie in 1976). This one, of course, is a re-imagining of the Stephen King creation.

We may not be able to forget the Brian De Palma 1976 original, but I'll give this new "Carrie" a chance when it opens on March 15, 2013.

Take a look at the new teaser trailer:

Robert Pattinson to "Hold On To Me!"

I wish, HA! But the "Twilight" star, winding down from all the vampire hoopla, has signed on to star with Carey Mulligan in "Hold On to Me" according to Deadline. The film will be directed by James Marsh, the Oscar-winning guy who gave us the excellent documentaries, "Man on Wire" and "Project Nim."

"Hold On to Me" is a true-life tale about a woman and her boyfriend who kidnap and ransom the town's richest man. But, things go awry. Things always go awry in this type of films right? But Pattinson is not going to play the boyfriend, he will star as Jimmy, the woman's love. And he's not involved in the crime. The script is written by Brad Ingelsby.

Post-"Twilight," Pattinson is involved in many projects including "The Rover" where he will star opposite Guy Pearce; Pattinson is also starring in "Mission Blacklist" about the hunt for Saddam Hussein.

As long as he's not putting on fangs, I'm perfectly happy with his choices.

Paramount to Distribute Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street"

Paramount has landed the deal to distribute domestically the upcoming "The Wolf of Wall Street" according to Deadline. The film, currently shooting in New York, is directed by Martin Scorsese and stars his leading man du jour, Leonardo DiCaprio. Paramount is releasing this Oscar-contender in the fourth quarter of next year for Academy Awards consideration.

Besides DiCaprio, the cast also includes Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, Rob Reiner, Kyle Chandler, Margot Robbie and Jon Bernthal ("The Walking Dead"). The script is written by Terry Winter ("Boardwalk Empire").

This better be a better movie than the last Paramount-Scorsese-DiCaprio project, "Shutter Island."
