Stephen Colbert to Make Cameo in Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit!"

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Stephen Colbert, the Comedy Central host and self-confessed "Lord of the Rings" fan, will make a cameo in Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit" trilogy.

No word yet on which role he'll play. Also, his cameo will not be in the upcoming first part of the trilogy, "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," opening Dec. 14th. But Colbert will still have a chance to star opposite Martin Freeman, Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Hugo Weaving, Orlando Bloom, Benedict Cumberbatch and Andy Serkis for the next two installments of the franchise.

"The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug," the second movie of the franchise opens Dec. 13, 2013, while the third, "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" will visit theaters July 18, 2014.

What role should Colbert play?

"Paranormal Activity 4" Scares Away Competition, Part 5 to Spook Theaters October 2013

"Paranormal Activity 4" was the box-office champion this past weekend, raking in $30.2 million for the No. 1 debut. BUT, that's a big drop from the last two installments ("PA3" debuted with $50 million and "PA2" with $40). Still, the fourth installment only cost $5 million to produce and still beat the competition such as Tyler Perry's "Alex Cross." ("Paranormal Activity 4" Movie Review)

Perry, ditching his Madea persona, embraced the character that Morgan Freeman used to play in "Kiss the Girls" and "Along Came a Spider." But the audience did not buy it...that much. "Alex Cross" debuted at NO. 5 with $11.8 million. Yup, a dud.

Meanwhile, Ben Affleck's "Argo" continued to yell "Argo, F&*k yourself" to its competition, remaining strong at No. 2 with $16.6 million and dropping just 15 percent from its debut! I love this movie, so go watch this intriguing, funny, heartfelt Iran hostage crisis flick from Affleck. (Ben Affleck "Argo" interview, Bryan Cranston "Argo" interview, "Argo" movie review)

"Paranormal Activity 4" might have had a whimper debut, but it's still a strong opening, so, Megan Colligan, Paramount president of domestic marketing and distribution, revealed that "Paranormal Activity 5" will spook theaters next October. And if you have seen "Paranormal Activity 4," you saw the Spanish teaser at the end of the movie. Well, that's a spinoff to be released earlier next year, targeting Hispanic viewers. But according to THR, the film will be predominantly in English.

Here's the Top 10 Box-Office Films for the weekend of Oct. 19th:

1. "Paranormal Activity 4," $30.2 million ($26.5 million international).
2. "Argo," $16.6 million ($1.2 million international).
3. "Hotel Transylvania," $13.5 million ($14.5 million international).
4. "Taken 2," $13.4 million ($23.6 million international).
5. "Alex Cross," $11.8 million.
6. "Sinister," $9 million ($2.3 million international).
7. "Here Comes the Boom," $8.5 million.
8. "Pitch Perfect," $7 million ($320,000 international).
9. "Frankenweenie," $4.4 million ($4.1 million international).
10. "Looper," $4.2 million ($5.6 million international).
