The Palm Springs International Film Society is pleased to announce that actor Josh Brolin will attend a special member screening of the Coen brothers film “No Country for Old Men”. The screening will take place on Monday, November 12th at 7:00 pm at the Regal Cinemas; 789 Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, CA.
Written and directed by Joel Coen and Ethan Coen, “No Country for Old Men” follows Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin), a man out hunting near the Rio Grande who comes across a drug deal gone sour—leaving behind a cache of heroin, two million dollars and several bodies. When two more men end up murdered, the local sheriff realizes Moss and his wife Carla Jean (Kelly Macdonald) need protection. Things turn dangerous when various men, ranging from ruthless freelancers to ex-Special Forces members, turn up to find out the truth and destroy all evidence.
In addition to Brolin, “No Country for Old Men” stars Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem, Beth Grant, Garret Dillahunt, Woody Harrelson and Stephen Root.
Brolin, who made his feature film debut in the 1985 film “Goonies” and later starred as a young Wild Bill Hickock in ABC Western series "The Young Riders", will participate in a post screening discussion and question and answer session.
The screening is open to members of the Palm Springs International Film Society. Membership information is available on line at www.psfilmfest.org.
