So That's the Reason Why Head of Los Angeles Film Festival Resigned!

Richard Raddon resigned as director of the Los Angeles Film Festival, because of...his support for Proposition 8.

Apparently, Mister Richard, a Mormon, contributed $1,500 to the campaign to ban gay marriage in California.

A "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Movie? Really?

Alright, I'm a self-confessed "Buffy" fan! I love love love the TV show, I even wrote an academic analysis of the show using the Third Wave of Feminism for my Graduate Studies thesis.

Oh, and at home? I have all the "Buffy" collectibles you can imagine. Signed trading cards, action figures from Season 1, yes, those will be my retirement money :happy

So imagine my excitement when I heard this morning that there maybe a planned "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" flick courtesy of our friends from Moviehole!

Apparently, with "Twilight's" huge success,
Hollywood is once again entertaining thoughts about making a big screen version of the beloved TV series! YAY!

But, let's hold our excitement until official announcement has been made. For now, let's savor this lovely little morsel. According to The Herald-Sun newspaper in Australia, there's a "Buffy" script that's doing the rounds. They say:

The monster success of girly vampire pic Twilight at the US Box office last weekend could kick open the door for a big-screen return of Joss Whedon’s much-loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Rumours are circulating in Hollywood that Whedon has a feature-film script based on his hit TV series ready to roll as soon as a studio is prepared to commit. The Buffy concept was first unveiled as a movie in 1992 with long-forgotten Kristy Swanson in the title role.

Let's hope and pray that the Buffy-verse will once again envelop our lives! Can't wait for this one! And honestly, every vampire myths you saw at "Twilight," "Buffy" did it first :tongue

"Milk" Interview -- James Franco
James Franco stars in "Milk" as Scott Smith, Harvey Milk's (Sean Penn) partner. He's excellent in the film, and truly, Franco is having a wonderful year (his "Pineapple Express" role is memorable).

"Milk" Interview: The Real-Life Cleve Jones Discusses the Film, Gay Rights, and Proposition 8
The real-life Cleve Jones sat down with me to talk about MILK. Emile Hirsch plays Cleve in this fantastic film directed by Gus Van Sant. Sean Penn stars as Harvey Milk, the first openly gay public official who was assassinated.

It was an honor meeting Cleve! Fun, gentle, and honorable man!

Cleve started the single, most poignant symbol of the AIDS crisis, the AIDS Quilt!

Now, he's behind the making of "Milk."

Take a look at my in-depth interview with Mister Cleve!
