Angelina Jolie's "Salt!" See New Teaser/Trailer

Angelina Jolie replaced Tom Cruise to star in "Salt."

Philip Noyce ("The Quite American," "Catch a Fire") is directing the actress who stars as a CIA officer accused by a defector of being a Russian sleeper spy and must elude capture long enough to establish her innocence.

Ooooh drama! And there's certainly drama and intrigue at the new teaser/trailer for "Salt." Oh, and see Jolie go from blonde to brunette in 10 seconds or less :wink

Excuse Me, But "Ghost Rider 2" is NOT a Reboot but a Sequel!

Back in September, we told you that Columbia Pictures is revving up for "Ghost Rider 2."

Today, MTV News has reported that the franchise will not get an overhaul (a reboot if you may), but the tone is going to shift!

David Goyer ("Batman Begins") is toning down a script he wrote for a friendlier PG rating tone. Goyer tells MTV News:

"It's not exactly a reboot," said Goyer, who's currently hard at work on his "FlashForward" television series. "I hate to say it's more realistic, because he's got a flaming skull for a head, but it's a bit more stripped down and darker. It's definitely changing tone. What 'Casino Royale' was to the Bond movies, hopefully this will be to 'Ghost Rider.'"

Get Your Magic Carpet Ride Ready! New "Arabian Nights" Film with a Twist!

Chuck Russell ("The Scorpion King," "Eraser") is working on a 3D re-imagination of "Arabian Nights." He will direct the film from a script he co-wrote with Barry P. Ambrose.

The $70 million production is set to begin in April.

The new twist? According to Variety, the story follows a young commander who, after his king is killed in a palace coup, joins forces with Sinbad, Aladdin and his genie to rescue Scheherazade and her kingdom from dark powers.

So Sinbad and company will take a backseat for a young commander. Hhhmmmm...

Russell wants to take you on a magic carpet ride! He says, "Through the use of a new generation of visual technologies, we will be able to quite literally take audiences around the world on a magic carpet ride."

Gerard Butler Goes to War for First-Time Director Ralph Fiennes

Gerard Butler will star in the film "Coriolanus" for first-time director Ralph Fiennes. The Hollywood Reporter tells us that the film is a contemporary version of Shakespeare's Rome-set politicial and family drama. Fiennes will also star in the film.

Butler will play Tullus Aufidius, commander of the Volscian army from Shakespeare's play. William Hurt, Eddie Marsan, Jessica Chastain, and Vanessa Redgrave co-star.

"The Last Samurai's" John Logan wrote the script. The production will begin shooting in Serbia in March.

So, instead of "This is Sparta!," Butler will say, "This is Rome!"
