Me and Orson Welles

MPAA Rating PG-13
Directed By Richard Linklater
Starring Ben Chaplin, Christian McKay, Claire Danes, James Tupper, Zac Efron

Official Site http://www.meandorsonwellesthemovie.com/

Based in real theatrical history, ME AND ORSON WELLES is a romantic coming-of-age story about a teenage actor who lucks into a role in Julius Caesar as it's being re-imagined by a brilliant, impetuous young director named Orson Welles at his newly-founded Mercury Theater in NYC, 1937.

The rollercoaster week leading up to opening night has the charismatic-but-sometimes-cruel Welles (impressive newcomer Christian McKay) staking his career on this risky production while Richard (Zac Efron, HIGHSCHOOL MUSICAL, 17 AGAIN) mixes with everyone from starlets to stagehands in behind-the-scenes adventures bound to change him.

Claire Danes (THE HOURS, ROMEO + JULIET) co-stars as Sonja Jones, the unapologetically ambitious assistant to Welles whom Richard tries to woo. Ben Chaplin (THE NEW WORLD, DORIAN GRAY) plays Mercury Theater regular George Coulouris. Zoe Kazan, Eddie Marsan, Kelly Reilly and James Tupper (MEN IN TREES, SAMANTHA WHO) are among the talented ensemble cast. The fast-moving screenplay by Holly Gent Palmo and Vince Palmo is based on Robert Kaplow's meticulously researched novel of the same name.

TMI for Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris

Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris are teaming up for Universal Pictures' "TMI." Written by Kirsten "Kiwi" Smith and Marc Klein, "TMI" is about the danger of "too much information" in relationships.

Reynolds will also be the executive producer of the project. "Old Dogs'" Andrew Panay will produce.

This may be the actor's next film after he's finished working on "Green Lantern" for Warner Bros.

Oh No! Disney Cancels "20,000 Leagues" Movie!

Disney has cancelled "Captain Nemo: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea!"

Back in January of this year, we told you that director McG was set to helm the film. But now, the production, set to begin in February, has been halted! And McG is no longer the captain of the movie.

Walt Disney Pictures confirmed to Variety that it won't proceed with the film for now. When Dick Cook was the studio chief, "20,000 Leagues" was on fast track. There were even rumors that Will Smith was set to star.

Under the new guidance of Rich Ross, the studio revealed that big adventure films like "20,000 Leagues," "John Carter of Mars" and "Tron" are still priority.

Variety told us that Disney's next big water-based shoot will likely be the fourth installment of “Pirates of the Caribbean.” Pic is expected to set sail in May, with Rob Marshall in talks to direct.

So what about McG? Well, the "Terminator Salvation" director may work on other projects such as the Warner Bros. drama "Dead Spy Running." McG is also working "Borat" director Larry Charles on a new NBC comedy.
