Will Martin Sheen Play Uncle Ben in "Spider-Man" Reboot? Will Sally Field Play Aunt May?

Martin Sheen is in final negotiations to play Spidey's father figure, Uncle Ben, in the new Columbia Pictures' reboot of "Spider-Man" according to the Hollywood Reporter. His character arch remains the same -- he and Aunt May raised Peter Parker and his death at the hands of a burglar leads Parker onto the path of heroism.

Sally Field is also in talks to star as Aunt May. If everything lines up, Sheen and Field will join Andrew Garfield (Peter/Spider-Man), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), and Rhys Ifans who will play the film's unnamed villain.

Director Marc Webb is set to start production in December. My spidey-sense is telling me that both Sheen and Field will come on board!

Will Ferrell Tops Forbes Most Overpaid Actors List! See Who Else Are Overpaid!

Forbes has released its annual list of the Top 10 Most Overpaid Actors in Hollywood and Will Ferrell topped the list for the second time! According to the magazine, Ferrell's films earned only $3.35 for each $1 the star was paid! Last year, Ferrell's box-office bomb "Land of the Lost" did him in.

So how did Forbes come up with the list? "To create our list we looked at the 36 highest-earning actors in Hollywood. To qualify, each had to have starred in at least three movies in the past five years that opened in more than 500 theaters. Movies that opened after June 1 of this year are not counted."

There's still a chance for Ferrell to redeem himself. "The Other Guys" was released right after the June 1 deadline, and that film made money earning $160 million on an estimated budget of $100 million. And his "Megamind" performed well at the box-office but according to Forbes, they don't count animated features since stars tend to take pay cuts and not the real draw.

Here's Forbes list of Top 10 Most Overpaid Actors of 2010:

1. Will Ferrell -- $3.35 for $1 paid
2. Eddie Murphy -- $4.45 for $1 paid
3. Denzel Washington -- $5.10 for $1 paid
4. Seth Rogen -- $6.75 for $1 paid
5. Tom Cruise -- $7.20 for $1 paid
6. Drew Barrymore -- $7.45 for $1 paid
7. Matt Damon -- $8.30 for $1 paid
8. Vince Vaughn -- $8.35 for $1 paid
9. Adam Sandler -- $8.45 for $1 paid
10. Jim Carrey -- $8.60 for $1 paid

Johnny Depp's Next Movie Will Be...

...the gothic vampire tale "Dark Shadows" for Warner Bros. and his favorite director, Tim Burton. Ending speculations, Depp finally decided to make this his next movie, thus joining the vampire revolution.

We've been reporting about this film since 2008, and I'm finally glad it's seeing the light of day. (Check out our original story on "Dark Shadows" by clicking here)

"Dark Shadows" was a gothic soap opera from the 60s about the Collins family and their friends, and all the strange occurrences that happen to them involving vampires, witches, werewolves, and such. Sort of like "Twilight" but original :happy

Warner Brothers has set April for production start date. Depp will play Barnabas Collins, a vampire in search of his long lost love. Seth Grahame-Smith rewrote the script by John August.
