THE NEXT TOM CRUISE MOVIE -- NO, WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT "VALKYRIE"

The next Tom Cruise flick is called "Edwin A. Salt" for Columbia Pictures.

It is set to be directed by "The Kingdom" director, Peter Berg.

The multi-hyphenated director (he's also a famous character actor) is in talks to direct Cruise. Terry George was supposed to helm the film, but the "Hotel Rwanda" director is being replaced. Probably because of the poor reception for his film, "Reservation Road."

Berg is a pretty busy guy. He just recently finished the Will Smith film "Hancock," and now, must do pre-production for "Edwin A. Salt" while working on the post-production of "Hancock."

The plot of "Edwin A. Salt"? Cruise will play a CIA officer who's mistaken for a Russian spy out to assassinate the president. Now, he must prove someone else is the traitor, while reuniting with his family.

Sounds intriguing, even if it's a bit pedantic. But maybe, screenwriter Kurt Wimmer ("The Recruit") will do wonders to the script!

WHY 2007 IS A GREAT YEAR FOR MOVIE BUFFS LIKE YOU AND ME!!!
A BIG BRAVO FOR THE FILM INDUSTRY!!!

I have been re-watching my favorite films of 2007. Truth be told, it is how I have been spending the last two weeks of my life. Why? Because there are far too many great movies this year, and I wanted to make sure I am making the right choices. If I was picking the Top 20 films of the year, it would have been easier but I had to narrow it down to the Top 10 – so, goodbye “The Bourne Ultimatum,” so long “Enchanted,” adios “3:10 to Yuma.”

For those skeptics who have been asking where all the great movies went, look no further than this year. 2007 has been a banner year for movies and movie lovers! From “No Country for Old Men” to “There Will Be Blood,” personal vision triumphed over big productions. The directors of these films did not hire a gaggle of scriptwriters, they wrote their own movies!

As we celebrate the arrival of a bigger and better 2008, let’s take a special look back at the films that inspired, entertained, and made us believe again in the magic of the movies.

WHERE I'M SPENDING MY HOLIDAY SEASON!!!
I'm a midwest boy at heart, and I'm glad to be back right here to celebrate Christmas with my mommy.

So where am I spending my Christmas?

Well...Branson, Missouri, of course!!!

The land of Dixie Stampede, Dolly Parton, and Andy Williams.

I used to joke that Branson is like Las Vegas for toothless people...but kidding aside...I love it here...it's peaceful, quiet, and everyone is genuinely nice!

I love the Trail of Lights...and I told my mommy that I'm taking her to Eureka Springs, AK because there's supposed to be a haunted hotel there. Eureka Springs is about one hour from Branson, and I looove ghost stories.

But that's halloween...for now...MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM BRANSON, MISSOURI!!!!!
