And I came across this site by a fantastic lady named Lisa!
Miss Lisa was writing about me, having found my site by searching for "No Country for Old Men" movie reviews/info.
It's pretty much all about love!
What else did she say about me? Well, go and find out or else!!!
Miss Lisa was very nice, except she compared me to this guy!!! Read More...

I had a fun-filled but truly busy weekend, full of community events and movies, movies, movies!
Here's how it all unspooled.
First, I woke up Saturday, looking all disheveled, minus make-up and my magical beret (but I gotta have my coffee!!!).
Then, I ran to Westin Mission Hills Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA for the Paws and Hearts Dog Walk.
Thank God for Fiona Gorostiza (KMIR6 Morning Weather Anchor -- KMIR6, the NBC affiliate in Palm Springs, is my home base right here in the valley) for being there, so I could leave for the Tamales Festival!
I love my Fiona! She's fun and and sweet and talented, on and off camera! And she's super hot too!!!
Then, off to the Tamales Festival I went! And it's only 9:30am!!!
There, I was part of the Tamales Festival parade, riding on the float of MIX 100.5 with my favorite DJ, Mister Bradley Ryan! MIX 100.5 is also one of my homes in Palm Springs. I am on air every Friday afternoon drive time, from 5pm to 7pm, and I love my Mister Bradley!
In the festival, I ran into one of my favorite folks in the whole wide world, Miss Cris of Indio! She's now known as the Ambassador of Indio. She's a super-sweet lady, who always wears a nice, warm smile.
Then, it's off to tasting tamales! I was one of the judges, and we had to devour 25 tamales to come up with the best of the best!
After eating a few of those fantastic tamales, headache was starting to creep in.
So I said goodbye to Miss Kaylyn, she's a Palm Desert Middle School student, who said her mom loves me, so I joked, "and what about you Miss Kaylyn?" So now, she vowed, she loves me too. She's at the festival to participate in the parade, and she said this would be her last year since she's going to high school next year. She'll conquer high school too!
So, after the day's festivities, I ran home, took a nap, in order to get ready for a double dose of movies! I saw "The Golden Compass" and "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street."
So at the end of the day, it's still all about movies!
So what do I think of those films? You just have to stay tuned!!!
Here's a teaser though -- "The Golden Compass" should not be judged based on relgious conservatism, and "Sweeney Todd" is like a slasher flick with music! I saw the play last year, and it pretty much captured the tone and spirit of the Broadway production! But it's very, very bloody!!!

Time goes by when you're having fun!
It feels like Memorial Day was just a few days ago, when "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" premiered!
I was at the red carpet working it!
Well, the film is coming to DVD (regular, Blu-Ray, and Special Edition -- Disney milking it!), and the blu-ray edition will have:
EXCLUSIVE TO DISNEY BLU-RAY(TM): "Enter The Maelstrom" -- Take An Immersive, Eye-Popping Tour In A New Interactive Way Like Never Before
The Pirate Maestro: The Music Of Hans Zimmer
Bloopers Of The Caribbean
Keith & The Captain: On Set With Johnny Depp And The Rock Legend
Anatomy Of A Scene: The Maelstrom
The Tale Of Many Jacks
Hoist The Colours
Masters Of Design
Inside The Brethren Court
The World Of Chow Yun-Fat
This three-quel is not the best of the franchise, but it's a fitting ending to the saga.
You can read my review of the film here, or watch my red-carpet world premier special when I asked the director, Gore Verbinski, if this is truly the last of the franchise!
The bottom-line? Thank God for the pause button, so you can stand up, relax, before finishing the film's 168 minutes length.

Bale is in talks to star as John Connor (now in his 30s) in the fourth installment of "Terminator," now called "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins."
McG (why him?) is directing the project for Warner Bros.
So Bale's film future is shaping up to be:
Summer 2008 "The Dark Knight"
Summer 2009 "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins"
The actor, known to bounce from indie-fare to commercial flicks, is also attached to "Killing Pablo," about the late Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar (I just finished reading the gripping Rolling Stone article about America's failed war on drugs).
I love Christian Bale! I had a great interview with him for "The Prestige." He's incisive and thoughtful, and sweet!
