Kate Winslet Says I'm Not Vivienne Westwood!

Kate Winslet was supposed to be in talks to star as fashion icon, Dame Vivienne Westwood.

But the actress dropped out!

According to WENN:

The Titanic star was allegedly in talks to play the fashion mogul in an upcoming biopic planned by Universal movies.

But Winslet is now said to have scrapped plans to appear in the film, amid rumours that Westwood was unhappy with the choice of leading lady.

A source tells British newspaper The Mail on Sunday, "Kate's people are saying she was never formally committed to the project but there are whispers Dame Vivienne didn't want Kate playing her. In fact Vivienne doesn't seem keen on the film being made at all."

Westwood has already spoken of her disdain for the movie project, insisting she "doesn't know what is happening, but hopefully they (Univeral) will drop it."

Frank Miller to Direct Again! This Time? "BUCK ROGERS"!!!

Confession Time! I'm a comic-book geek, and I adore Frank Miller! BUT, I adore him as a writer and NOT as a director! "The Spirit" coming out this Christmas is a mess of a movie, and for all the great creative vision known as Miller, the film has no SOUL!

Then I heard Miller is now itching to direct a film version of "Buck Rogers." Huh? And more Huh?

The best part of this news? Miller is going to take "Buck Rogers" into a darker territory full of greed and corruption -- a Miller trademark!

So that's good.

But can you please leave the directing in the hands of a great helmer that understands your vision?

Look, "Sin City" was amazing because Robert Rodriguez understood the cinematic value of Miller's vision. Yes, Miller was credited as co-director of the film, but truth be known, Rodriguez and ghost-director Quentin Tarantino put their creative stamps on the movie.

"The Spirit?" Solely credited to Miller? Was just an imprint version of "Sin City" with lesser, far lesser punch!

"The Green Hornet" News: So Long Director Stephen Chow, But Wait, You Can Still Act!

As we reported back in September, "Kung Fu Hustle's" Stephen Chow was attached to direct the revamped film version of the TV classic "The Green Hornet."

Chow was also set to co-star as Kato the sidekick with Seth Rogen as the masked crime fighter. Rogen co-wrote the script with Evan Goldberg.

But now, Chow stepped out as a director because of the convenient reason -- "creative differences."

Whenever they used that reason, I always question it. What creative difference transpired? What really went on? Why why why?

I guess we'll find out soon enough, but I heard the script will be polished and a new director will be announced before the year's end, which is like, 2 weeks from now!

Oh yeah, Chow can't direct, but he can still be a sidekick as Kato!
