Call "Four Christmases" whatever you want -- predictable, cliched, boring, pedantic -- but American moviegoers are trying to laugh, and wanting to bring in the Holidays by putting the Vince Vaughn/Reese Witherspoon starrer back to No. 1 for the second week in a row!
The hit comedy rang up $18.2 million, raising its 12-day total to $70.8 million. So yes, Vaughn, with last year's "Fred Claus," is now officially the Holiday star. Sorry Tim Allen!
And get this, forget the economic crisis we're experiencing. The top 12 movies took in $77.5 million, a 6 percent increase from the same weekend last year!
Meanwhile, "Twilight" and "Bolt" continue to duke it out! The vampire romance took in $13.2 million to capture the second slot, while the Disney animated flick grabbed $9.7 million for the third spot.
The box-office feel good story of the weekend?
