We reported a couple of weeks back, that Rob Zombie may return to direct the sequel to his "Halloween" flick!
Now, it's confirmed! The rocker/director is teaming up with Dimension Films again for the next "Halloween."
The sequel will be called "H2" and will be released in October next year.
Besides directing, Zombie is also attached to write the sequel. Production will begin in March.
Zombie said his sequel will not mirror the original franchise's sequel, just like how his flick re-imagined John Carpenter's film.
Although I heard that boogeyman Michael Myers' sister will play an important role in the sequel, just how Jamie Lee Curtis' role became the catharsis in Carpenter's sequel.
So why did Zombie decide to do the sequel? He told Variety that:
"I was so burned out. (But) I took a long break, made a record and I got excited again," Zombie said. "Now, we'll be hauling ass, and that's the problem making a movie called 'Halloween': If you come out Nov. 1 or after, nobody cares. If it was called anything else, I'd be fine."

Cheech and Chong are smokin' hot right now! Their reunion stand-up tour, "Cheech & Chong Light Up America" blazes through, well, America!
Now, Big Vision Entertainment said they will be partnering with Chambers Bros. Entertainment to produce an animated film featuring the stoned duo!
This will be a perfect stoner flick, featuring the greatest stoners in cinematic history appearing in a cartoon!
Here's what the duo said to The Hollywood Reporter:
"It's great to be doing a movie where Cheech and I never have to get out of bed or be on camera," Chong said.
"It's about time that we got animated because we've been doing animation without the animation for years," Marin said. "Whether you watch it smokin' a fattie or stone-cold sober, it's just plain funny."

As we reported earlier, Chris Weitz is getting ready to take the helm from director Catherine Hardwicke for the "Twilight" sequel called "New Moon."
The second installment of the popular book franchise from author Stephenie Meyer will be released on...
NOVEMBER 20, 2009
Huh? That soon?
I remember Hardwicke complaining that she didn't want to rush into production, hence, she's no longer associated with the project.
Meanwhile, Weitz, more power to him! I hope they have a working script ready that captures the spirit of Meyer's vision.
Why the rush?
According to Variety, Summit Entertainment feels lucky about the date, and wants to duplicate the success of "Twilight" without too long of a wait:
Summit caught a lucky break when Warners decided to push back the release of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" from Thanksgiving 2008 to summer 2009.
More power to y'all! Good luck, but please, don't rush the emotion and the character development of the film, let 'em breathe just like Meyer's prose.

Lionsgate Films has purchased the rights to the book "Loving Frank" by Nancy Horan.
The film is going to be written by John Burnham Schwartz who wrote 2007's "Reservation Road."
"Loving Frank" tells the story of the love affair between the most influential architect of the century, Wright, and Chicago society matron Mamah Borthwick Cheney.
"Loving Frank" producers aimed to show the historical context of Wright's life as well as showing the humanistic emotion called love.
Ah....love while building homes.
