"The Social Network" Tops San Francisco Film Critics Circle Awards 


This is becoming to sound like a broken record, "The Social Network" topping all award-giving bodies. The David Fincher film won three awards at the 2010 San Francisco Film Critics Circle including Best Picture, Best Director for Fincher (he tied with Darren Aronofsky for "Black Swan"), and Best Adapted Screenplay for Aaron Sorkin.

New York Film Critics Circle Hails "The Social Network," Annette Bening 


The New York Film Critics Circle chose "The Social Network" as the Best Film of 2010 and David Fincher as Best Director. Colin Firth won Best Actor for "The King's Speech" and Annette Bening took home the Best Actress prize for "The Kids Are All Right." Lisa Cholodenko and Stuart Blumberg won Best Screenplay, and Mark Ruffalo for Best Supporting Actor also for "The Kids Are All Right." The awards gala will take place on Monday, January 10.
