Hilary Swank Talks About “New Year’s Eve” and Reveals How She Votes During Oscar Season!

The two-time Oscar winner can now add working with Garry Marshall in her resume. This was my second time interviewing the super-sweet star, the first one was for 2009’s “Amelia.” In “New Year’s Eve,” Swank stars as Claire Morgan, the big cheese of the ball! She is behind the world-famous New Year’s Eve Ball Drop to make sure everything is running logistically.

In this interview, we talked about:

*** How did she get excited to working in “New Year’s Eve?”
*** She’s no longer a Garry Marshall virgin!
*** How was it working with the director?
*** She meets her real-life counterpart
*** There’s a real Times Square Alliance!
*** Has the ball been stuck before?
*** The twists and turns of the movie
*** The blooper reel!
*** The two-time Oscar winner reveals her voting secrets!
*** She puts me in the spot by asking me, “Do you usually agree what the critics say?”
*** What is her New Year’s resolution?

Have Fun!

Director Garry Marshall Talks About “New Year’s Eve” and Teaches Me a French Word!

Garry Marshall is always fun to talk to! I sat down with the director last year for “Valentine’s Day” and in 2005 for “Chicken Little.” This time, he returns with another star-studded extravaganza with “New Year’s Eve.” I love Halle Berry in the film, and did you know that the actress almost didn’t make the film?

In this interview, we talked about:

*** What made him interested in making “New Year’s Eve?” They shot all the New Year’s Eve shenanigans in Times Square last year
*** The unpredictable twists and turns! Marshall taught me a new word – portmanteau, which means intersecting stories
*** All he wants is to make you feel good, leave on a positive note, awwwww
*** It’s all about love in Marshall’s world
*** I love Halle Berry!

Have Fun!

Jake T. Austin Interview for “New Year’s Eve”

I interviewed Jake T. Austin before for “Hotel for Dogs,” he was a little boy then, so I was very surprised to see him all grown up! He’s taller than me! I had a blast talking to he and Emma Roberts for “Hotel for Dogs,” and I had a great time again, interviewing the actor for “New Year’s Eve.” He plays Seth, the love interest of another “oh my gosh she’s grown up” actress, Abigail Breslin.

In this interview, we talked about:

*** Working for “Wizards of Waverly Place”
*** What attracted him to making “New Year’s Eve”
*** Working with Garry Marshall
*** Working with Abigail Breslin
*** What’s on top of his New Year’s resolution list?
*** What is he looking forward to in 2012?
*** What’s next for Jake T. Austin the actor?

Have fun!

Hector Elizondo Talks About “New Year’s Eve”

Hector Elizondo is director Garry Marshall’s lucky charm. He has made 17 movies with Marshall. I interviewed the actor last year for “Valentine’s Day,” and this year, once again, I was regaled by Elizondo. In “New Year’s Eve,” he stars as Kominsky, the MacGyver-type of guy who helps unstuck the New Year’s Ball!

In this interview, we talked about:

*** Working with Marshall for 17 times
*** What attracted him to the role of Kominsky
*** His New Year’s resolutions
*** What he’s looking forward to in 2012
*** He loves Filipinos! Yay!

Have fun!
