Just got back from an early morning screening of "In Bruges," the new film starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. What's with the title? Well, the film is set in Bruges, Belgium, where two hit men (Farrell and Gleeson) are chilling out after a difficult job!

"A Nightmare on Elm Street" gave us one of the most memorable boogeymen, Freddy Krueger, made the guy who played him, Robert Englund, a horror-film icon, spawned nine films and two TV series, and was New Line's cash cow until "The Lord of the Rings."

New Line and MGM are co-financing the film adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit."
The lawsuit filed by Peter Jackson against New Line was resolved in December, and since then, the studio company has been busy talking to a short-list of directors.
New Line is making "Hobbit" its number one priority, and is making sure, the director of their billion-dollar "The Lord of the Rings" franchise is involved with the making of the prequel.
The films (they will produce two installments of "The Hobbit) will be shot simultaneously in 2009. The budget is set at $150 million per film. The first installment is set to be released in 2010, and the second in 2011.
