I had a great time talking to the filmmakers behind “Journey to Royal: A World War II Rescue Mission.”  Producer Mariana Tosca and writer/director Christopher Johnson create a documentary/narrative hybrid as an homage to Johnson’s great uncle, WWII rescue pilot and hero, Lt. Royal A. Stratton.

Partly shot in the place I call home, Palm Springs, “Journey to Royal” will be available everywhere on-demand on Feb. 2nd.

Take a look at my interview with the filmmakers as they talk about the genesis of the film, its hybrid technique, shooting in Palm Springs, its relevancy to today, and Tosca’s many philanthropic efforts.  She’s amazing!
