I love Regina King!  And I love her even more that I’ve seen her talent as a filmmaker in the new Amazon Prime “One Night in Miami.”  This is about four male icons – Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, Sam Cooke, Jim Brown – meeting in a room in the Hampton House after Ali’s victorious fight.  So what is a female filmmaker doing directing a male-centric film?  The Oscar-winner has the answer as she takes us behind-the-scenes of the making of “One Night in Miami.”

“One Night in Miami” is available to stream on Amazon Prime January 15.

Kingsley Ben-Adir deservingly won the Breakthrough Actor Gotham Award for playing Malcolm X in Regina King’s “One Night in Miami.”  I spoke with the actor to talk about his inspiration for playing the part, working with King, and what he hopes people will get after watching the film.

Eli Goree is fantastic as Muhammad Ali in “One Night in Miami.”  The film talks about how Cassius Clay changed his name to Muhammad Ali.  I spoke with the actor on how he found his rhythm as the Champ, and that one line in the film – Why am I so pretty?

We all love Leslie Odom Jr. as Aaron Burr in “Hamilton,” and you’ll fall in love with him again as the King of Soul Sam Cooke in the new film “One Night in Miami.”  I spoke with the actor to talk about his interest in starring in the film, how he prepared, and working with director Regina King.

Vulnerable yet strong, adjectives to describe the characters in “One Night in Miami.”  Aldis Hodge stars as Jim Brown in the Regina King film and he embodies the football icon’s quiet strength.  I spoke with the actor to talk about his preparation for the role and that one cringe-worthy moment in the film.
