Mike Nichols to Work on Patricia Highsmith's "Deep Water"

The great director Mike Nichols ("Closer," "Charlie Wilson's War") will tread "Deep Water," an adaptation of the 1957 Patricia Highsmith novel. Fox 2000 has also set Joe Penhall to write the script.

Penhall recently wrote "The Road," an adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel. The film version stars Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron.

Highsmith also wrote "Strangers on a Train" and "The Talented Mr. Ripley." "Deep Water" tells the story of a couple where the husband allows the wife to have multiple lovers. But trouble begins when her lovers begin dying.

I like this film already :happy
