"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" Star to Make First English-Language Role with "Sherlock Holmes 2" 


Noomi Rapace, the Swedish star who wowed audiences everywhere with her star-making turn as Lisbeth Salander in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," is set for her first English-language film in Warner Bros. "Sherlock Holmes 2." According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rapace will play the female lead in the sequel which will reunite Robert Downey Jr. as Holmes and Jude Law as Dr. Watson. Guy Ritchie will return as the director while Joel Silver, Susan Downey, Lionel Wigram and Dan Lin will come back as producers.

The plot is a big top secret right now, although we have learned that Holmes will duke it out with Moriarty. Holmes' brother, Mycroft, will make an appearance, and Rapace may star as a French Gypsy. "Sherlock Holmes 2" is set to start production later this year.
