Two new films that may make you feel nostalgic. There’s “Being the Ricardos” about Lucille Ball (the fantastic Nicole Kidman) and Desi Arnaz (the equally fantastic Javier Bardem) as they navigate through scandals while preparing to shoot an episode of “I Love Lucy.” From writer/director Aaron Sorkin, the film speaks volumes about the way Miss Ball changed Hollywood’s and pretty much the world’s perceptions on womanhood. But is the film good?
Another nostalgia-inducing film is “West Side Story” from Steven Spielberg. The beloved director makes his musical debut by remaking the 1961 film. But is the new version enough to make you sing tonight, tonight or you’d rather go somewhere?
