Melissa Barrera and Tommy Dewey
After surviving the villains of “Scream VI” and “Abigail,” Melissa Barrera returns to the big screen with the funny, sweet, creepy, and heartfelt “Your Monster.” Barrera stars as young stage actress Laura Franco who, while going through cancer treatment, is dumped by her playwright boyfriend, Edmund Donovan’s Jacob Sullivan. Returning to her family home to recuperate her broken body and heart, Laura discovers that the monster (Tommy Dewey) in her childhood closet is still there and ready to talk about life.
I spent some time with Barrera and Dewey as they take you behind-the-scenes of the making of “Your Monster.”

Edmund Donovan and Kayla Foster
